Trea Turner has been playing at an elite level recently, posting a .350 average with a .725 slugging percentage and a 1.147 OPS over his last 10 games. He owns nine extra-base hits (two home runs), six RBIs, and three stolen bases over that span, as well. Turner is averaging a healthy 13.3 fantasy points per game over that span. Surprisingly, he only owns 23% hard hit and 44% fly ball rates with a 90 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. Still, Turner gets a solid matchup against Jake Arrieta, and he enters this game with a 0.017 ISO differential against right-handed pitching. While his advanced metrics are far from elite in this game, Turner’s elite combination of speed and power make him a threat on a nightly basis. He’s a strong play for the over, as he has multiple ways to score fantasy points, especially while he has found continued success over his last few games.
Shohei Ohtani has seen mixed results since re-joining the Los Angeles Angels, but he has been playing at an elite level recently. Over his last 10 games, he’s hitting .351 with a .703 slugging percentage and a 1.103 OPS. He has posted six extra-base hits (three home runs), seven RBIs, and two stolen bases in those games, as well. Ohtani enters this game with a 58% hard hit rate to go along with a 95 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. He’ll be playing in the Toronto Blue Jays hitter friendly stadium, and he has found more success on the road this season. Ohtani also gets a plus matchup against Edwin Jackson, and he brings 0.039 wOBA and 0.12 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching into this game. He’s expected to hit third in the Angels lineup, adding to hit RBI and run potential, making him a great over option on this slate.
