Gleyber Torres has been playing at an unbelievable level recently, as he owns a .405 average with an .892 slugging percentage and a 1.368 OPS over his last 10 games. He has posted eight extra-base hits (five home runs) and eight RBIs over that span, as well. Furthermore, Torres owns 40% hard hit and 45% fly ball rates with a 93 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. He gets an elite matchup against Dan Straily, who has allowed a ridiculous 51.7% fly ball rates to go along with a 16.4% HR/FB rate. The New York Yankees feature the highest implied run total on the slate, and their offense should find plenty of success tonight. Torres is only expected to hit sixth, but he still comes with more than enough upside to play the over.

Trevor Story is another shortstop, who has found plenty of success recently. Over his last 10 games, he’s hitting .277 with a .511 slugging percentage and an .817 OPS. He has also posted five extra-base hits (three home runs), eight RBIs, and one steal in those games. Story has also recorded 51% hard hit and 56% fly ball rates with a 94 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. He has been at his best against left-handed pitching, but he gets a plus matchup against Montana DuRapau tonight. DuRapau has thrown limited innings this season, but he has allowed a 46.7% hard hit rate, while recording only a 6.7% soft hit rate. Keep in mind, he’s only an opener, but Story is hitting second in the Colorado Rockies lineup, and will get one at-bat against him. Story is always a bit risky on the road, but he’s in a great spot tonight, especially in his recent form.
