Jason’s Home Run Props – MKF, PrizePicks, and More (7/2/19)

Monkey Knife Fight Home Run Derby:

Los Angeles Angels at Texas Rangers

Wow. It was a sad day yesterday, and the Los Angeles Angels and Texas Rangers game was rightfully postponed. Tonight, that same game will happen, only on a much more somber note. The Angels are now the betting favorites, but the Rangers are still expected to score over five runs. The same recommendations as last night will suffice, but with one caveat: Danny Santana, despite his impressive slash line over his last few games, may not end up in the lineup tonight. Rougned Odor had an extra day to rest his hamstring, and it is possible that he enters back into the Rangers’ batting order in this game. If he does, just replace Santana with him. Seeing as Odor is the expected starter right now, he will be listed in the “Recommended Batters” section. On a slate with 15 games, it would be great to recommend a different one, but this specific game has the best home run circumstances, and targeting it makes sense from a gambling perspective. You’ll be missed, Tyler Skaggs.

Recommended Batters: Rougned Odor, Nomar Mazara, Joey Gallo

Home Run Prop Bet:

Joey Gallo (TBA) – Texas Rangers – OF

Joey Gallo has great advanced metrics over his last five games, and he has been crushing the ball since returning from his oblique injury. With one of the highest home-run-per-at-bat ratios in the league, Gallo makes for an interesting home run prop bet over at MyBookie every time the situation he finds himself in is home-run-friendly. Tonight, it is definitely that.

PrizePicks Over/Under:

N/A

Currently, PrizePicks does not offer a chance to wager on any of these three recommendations. Check back later, as their website is consistently updated throughout the day.

*Odds are from MyBookie. They continually update available prop bets on their prop builder, so odds should be released closer to the start of the contests. If you do not see the recommended player available, he will likely become available later in the day, and odds will be updated in the article when that happens.*
