Pitching- We have two pitchers that I just can’t stop backing in our cash section today. I love the upside potential of both Chris Paddack and Garrett Richards. It’s dangerous for my bankroll when both of these guys are on the same slate! I will be heavily invested in both of them. Richards got knocked around his first time out but he gets a plus matchup versus Baltimore today. This is a great bounce-back spot for him. We just saw the upside this Rangers lineup provides for hitters last night with Joe Musgrove throwing a no-no. The only other arm I am considering today is Ian Anderson. Anderson is one of the best young pitching prospects in baseball. The matchup isn’t a dream spot, but he has just as much upside as any other pitcher on today’s slate. Overall, this is a weaker pitching slate. There are a lot of bats I would rather prioritize than spend up on pitching today.

Stacks-

Toronto- Toronto is my go-to stack on today’s slate. Not only are they reasonably priced, but they sport a massive 5.8 TT. They will be without the middle of the order slugger T. Hernandez. Hernandez was placed into Covid protocols yesterday. This will slide Vlad into the clean-up spot. I love stacking this team 1-6 today. I would be prioritizing Semien, Bo, Vlad, Biggio from this team. Gurriel is currently Q but I would include him as well if he’s in that 5th spot. The contrarian way to have exposure to the Blue Jays is with the back end of the order with a guy like Grichuk, or a potential cheap piece like Johnathan Davis or Alejandro Kirk.

Angels- Another Mike Trout slate! What’s not to love about Trout today? The best hitter in baseball gets a matchup versus a lefty. Steve Matz may get some hype after he had a great first start with 9k’s. I won’t be overreacting to one start and I will be attacking Matz today. My favorite targets in the Angels stack are the heart of the order today. Trout-Rendon-Upton would be my priority pieces from the Angels today. This looks like it will be a full Toronto/Angels game stack from me today.

Braves- My low-owned contrarian stack today is the Atlanta Braves. If you’re looking to get some leverage on the field today, the Braves make a lot of sense. They get a matchup versus DFS darling Zach Eflin. Eflin has been impressive over the last 8 months on the hill. Eflin still has massive home run issues. It is his bigger flaw and it’s also the best way to gain fantasy points very quickly and have a stack pay off in a big way! The top of the Braves order is expensive but it would be how id like to stack this team today. Acuna-Albies-Freeman-Ozuna would be my 4-man stack of the Braves! I really like Freeman and Albies today in particular.

Bold Calls:

Double Dong: Vlad Jr.

1% Dong: Marcel Ozuna

SB: Ozzie Albies

4 hit game: Marcus Semien

10 run team: Toronto
