Welcome to another MLB DFS Game Theory for the 2021 season! This year we have a good amount of overlap between the NBA & MLB season, so there is lots of money to be made. This article will highlight my top plays at each position, and in the analysis portion of the article, we will highlight my top pitchers and stacks for the day.

Today is a nice sized slate that features an elite pool of pitching options highlighted by Gerritt Cole. Cole gets a fantastic matchup vs the Rangers, and goes into the matchup with the 3rd best ERA amongst qualified pitchers this season at 1.37. He has the second best WHIP and second most strikeouts this season with 78 over 52.2 innings. The last time Cole walked a batter was over a month ago. He also broke a record for most games with 10+ strikeouts and 0 walks in a season with 5. Cole is the elite option for tonight’s slate, and I think that he will be in majority of my cash game lineups. The other elite pitching option that has a similar ceiling but lower floor is Yu Darvish. Now Darvish’s numbers are not close to Cole’s. but he still has a solid and efficient stat line this season. He has allowed two or fewer runs in the last seven outings, to go along with a 2.08 ERA, .92 WHIp and a 59:13 K:BB ratio. I would go with Cole for cash games and sprinkle in Darvish for GPPs.
