Welcome to another MLB DFS Game Theory for the 2021 season! This year we have a good amount of overlap between the NBA & MLB season, so there is lots of money to be made. This article will highlight my top plays at each position, and in the analysis portion of the article, we will highlight my top pitchers and stacks for the day.

Top Pitchers:

Pitching options are pretty weak tonight. Even on a large slate, we don’t have a clear cut pitching option, in my opinion. This makes it a little more fun for tournaments but in cash games I have a hard time finding which pitcher I want to play today. I am leaning towards Trevor Rogers, who is having a stellar season, sporting a 2.02 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and a 89:25 K:BB ratio through 75.2 innings thus far. The Cardinals are also struggling as of late, so this is probably where I go for cash games. Although I am settled in on Rogers due to the lack of safe options tonight, I can see a couple other potential cash game pitchers, such as Andrew Heaney, Mike Minor, and Yu Darvish could be an interesting pivot as well. This slate is going to be a good one because I don’t see it being super chalky on FanDuel, but like I said before, I will be running Rogers in cash.

In terms of bats, of course it’s nice to get Coors in where we can, but I also like the Tampa Bay Rays (righties), Washington Nationals (righties, Schwarber is also good), Atlanta Braves (righties), Baltimore Orioles, and Cleveland Indians. I would really try to get the Rays 1-2-4 in a stack, the Nationals 1-4 in another stack, the Braves 1-4, and Baltimore 1-2-4 in a stack. These are all potential GPP options here.

CORE 4: Rogers, Y. Diaz, M. Machado, W. Merrifield

Good luck everyone!
