Bales’ Bananas – Monkey Knife Fight NBA Prop Picks 3/20/19

Over Under 2/2 – New Orleans Pelicans/Orlando Magic

Julius Randle has taken over as a focal point of the New Orleans Pelicans offense, and he should see extra touches tonight with Anthony Davis out. While he has been relatively inconsistent recently, Randle has scored 30 and 45 points in two of his last three games. He scored 15 points in only 21.4 minutes in his only matchup against the Orlando Magic this season. With the extra touches tonight, Randle should see 20+ shot attempts, and he needs an average game to hit the over. D.J. Augustin has been heating up recently, averaging 7.3 assists in 30.7 minutes per game over his last four games. He has posted 6+ assists in each of those four games, as well. New Orleans is going to push the pace in this game, and Augustin posted six assists in only 19.6 minutes in their only matchup this season. He’s expected to see 30+ minutes tonight, and he’s seemingly a lock to find the over in this prop.

Play $50 on Julius Randle OVER 24.5 points and D.J. Augustin OVER 5.5 assists to win $124 (2.48x)

Over Under 2/2 – Boston Celtics/Philadelphia 76ers

Kyrie Irving has dealt with various injuries at times this season, but he’s back to full health. He is averaging 27.8 points on 22.0 shot attempts, 8.4 three-point attempts, and 4.2 free throws per game over his last five games. He has also scored 30+ points in four of his last five games. Irving is averaging 23.5 points per game against the Philadelphia 76ers this season, but he’s shooting only 40.4% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc in those games. His averages are due for positive regression, and that should happen tonight. J.J. Redick is in an interesting spot tonight. He has caught fire over his last five games, making 4.4 three-pointers on 8.0 attempts per game. He’s shooting a ridiculous 55.0% from beyond the arc in those games. He has also posted 3+ three-pointers made in each game. On the season, he’s averaging more than three three-pointers made per game against Boston, while shooting only 38.5% from deep. He’s a known streaky shooter, so we need to catch him while he’s on the hot streak.

Play $50 on Kyrie Irving OVER 25.5 points and JJ Redick OVER 2.5 three-pointers made to win $117.50 (2.35x)

Over Under 2/2 – Utah Jazz/New York Knicks

Rudy Gobert isn’t an elite scorer, but he has flashed at times this season. The New York Knicks don’t have anyone that can slow him down in the paint, making this a matchup based play. In their only matchup this season, Gobert scored 25 points in only 24.6 minutes. He’s expected to see 30+ minutes tonight, and he should see a few easy put-backs, leading the the over. Kevin Knox isn’t a facilitator, which makes this prop questionable at best. He has posted 2+ assists in only two of his last nine games, while averaging 1.1 assists per game over that span. He simply doesn’t touch the ball enough with Emmanuel Mudiay on the court, which could also lead to the under hitting. Of course, Knox could luck his way into two assists, but that isn’t overly likely. It’s a play that simply can’t go overlooked for 2.6x your money.

Play $50 on Rudy Gobert OVER 14.5 points and Kevin Knox UNDER 1.5 assists to win $130 (2.6x)
