Bales’ Bananas – Monkey Knife Fight NBA Prop Picks 3/24/19

Over Under 2/2 – San Antonio Spurs/Boston Celtics

Kyrie Irving has been playing at an elite level since his last inactive game. Since then, he’s averaging 29.4 points on 23.1 shot attempts, 9.4 three-point attempts, and 5.1 free throw attempts per game. He has also scored 30+ points in six of his seven games since returning from that inactive game. He gets a great matchup against the San Antonio Spurs, who no longer feature an elite defense, and have struggled against point guards this season. Irving is currently seeing a huge role in the Boston Celtics offense, and that won’t change tonight. He could score 30+ points once again tonight, but he doesn’t need near that many points to find the over. LaMarcus Aldridge comes with a bit more risk than Irving, but the under makes sense. He’ll be competing with multiple strong rebounders down low, and could see few opportunities in this game. Aldridge is also averaging 8.6 rebounds per game over his last 14 games. Furthermore, he has posted fewer than 10 rebounds in nine of those 14 games. While he does have the potential for double-digit rebounds, I simply don’t believe he’ll find a double-double in this game, similarly to his only other matchup against Boston this season.

Play $50 on Kyrie Irving OVER 24.5 points and LaMarcus Aldridge UNDER 9.5 rebounds to win $130 (2.6x)

Over Under 2/2 – Sacramento Kings/Los Angeles Lakers

This prop is a bit exaggerated on LeBron James’ current role on the offense. It acts as if he’s playing a limited role or limited minutes, which isn’t truly the case. When active, he’s playing 30+ minutes per game. James is also averaging 29.3 points on 21.9 shot attempts, 6.4 three-point attempts, and 9.0 free throw attempts over his last 14 games. He also scored 24+ points in each of those 14 games. James has played six games since his minutes were announced as limited, and he is averaging 30.7 points per game over that span. There’s no reason to believe he’ll go under in an elite matchup against a fast paced Sacramento Kings team. De’Aaron Fox has been heating up as a facilitator recently, as he has posted nine assists in each of his last three games. This is a matchup based play, though. The Los Angeles Lakers have struggled defensively this season, but they love pushing the pace. Fox will see extra assist opportunities because of that. While he’s only averaging 7.0 assists per game against Los Angeles this season, I’m still expecting to him to go over here.

Play $50 on LeBron James OVER 22.5 points and De’Aaron Fox OVER 7.5 assists to win $116 (2.32x)
