Thoughts:

Updates to come to this section as we approach lock so continue to check back for more insight.

  • We have a solid-10 game slate tonight so it will be important to diversify your lineups with top GPP value rather than game-stacking like we do on a shorter-slate.
  • Tonight is interesting because although James Harden is projecting as the best value on the slate, the gap is not as wide as it usually is and I am more comfortable fading given the size of the slate and the type of lineup you can build utilizing the players that are projecting for similar values at a cheaper price.
  • Out of the top five values on the slate, 3 of the 5 are strictly center eligible players meaning you can only play max 2 of them in a given lineup.  This creates a MAJOR leverage situation where you should be entering a LOT of lineups tonight mixing and matching these centers where by default they will be under-owned due to the lack of ability to play all three.
  • The three players I want to be VERY OVER-EXPOSED to tonight are Andre Drummond, Nikola Jokic, and Karl-Anthony Towns.  This is an extremely smart build for a 3-entry max tournament where you get 2 of these players in all three lineups.  They are very close in projections to Harden tonight and provide a ton of low-ownership leverage into your lineups.
  • Guard today seems like you are able to pay down with a few value options available with some additional options to keep a close eye on as lineup lock approaches.  I have my eye particularly on Aaron Holiday and guard eligible Draymond Green.  Both are sub-6k players that give us some breathing room in our lineups tonight.
  • Stick to the above lineup building approach and you will be in a fantastic leverage position over the field today.
  • Obviously it is important to stay up to date on what value opens up closer to lock and weigh extreme value decisions (due to rest/injury).
