Bobby’s NBA GPP Top Plays – 1/31/19

Weak 6-game slate tonight but with some interesting spots. Major value is going to be opened up with the Porzingis trade.  Make sure as usual to leverage some of my TOP GPP options with a core of chalkier plays. Let’s get into my top GPP plays for this slate.   You can access my CORE GPP Plays by signing up for an NBA package at dfskarma.com!

AS NBA is a game where last-minute real-life changes are made before tipoff, always monitor breaking news up to last second!

The plays below in this daily article are low owned pivots and GPP plays.  This means that these players will be RELATIVELY low owned, and ‘contrarian’ relative to the more highly owned, chalky plays of the night.

BALL IN!

Point Guard

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Eric Bledsoe: Giannis has been a bit quieter of late letting some of his teammates get in on the scoring fun for one of the best teams in the NBA’s east and Eric Bledsoe is one of those guys taking full advantage of his role, especially from our fantasy perspective where he’s averaging 1.22 FP/min over the past month.  The matchup with Kyle Lowry here isn’t fantastic but Lowry is not what he used to be.  This game has the second highest total on the slate at 232 and we’re going under 15% ownership on the Bucks starting point guard.  If Bledsoe exceeds his minute’s projection tonight he could post an insane score. For the record, I’m high on him on Fanduel as well where his steals will rack him up an extra point per.

Shooting Guard

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Jimmy Butler: I was extremely high on Jimmy Butler in his last game against the Lakers and am planning on going right back to him in a game you know he’ll be showing out for on the offensive and the defensive end.  Jimmy even without posting an insane usage rate scored close to 50 DK points while putting up 20 real points.  With so much value opened up on the Mavericks you should be paying up in most positions and Jimmy is a way to differentiate off the more popular expensive options while gaining exposure to the similair upside.

Small Forward

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Aaron Gordon: As I said, you’re going to have all the money you want tonight to pay up for studs so this price for Aaron Gordon is really nothing.  This is a player with nightly 50 DK point upside in what will be one of the lower owned games of the night.  Gordon is small forward who is also PF eligible so you can easily fit him in your lineups.  He’s locked in for more than 35 minutes tonight under 7k in 3 games in which he has gone for over 40 DK points.  Gordon’s usage rate is up and he’s attempting close to 20 shots a game over this stretch.  I’m very high on him tonight.

Power Forward

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Pascal Siakam: If you’ve been reading my articles you know that I’m very high on Pascal Siakam.  On a night he’s projected to go for under 15% ownership you’d be crazy not to get exposure.  Siakam’s price is now down to 6.2k but has still been seeing heavy minutes in addition to a usage rate that spikes.  The Bucks rank 28th in defensive rating (40.8) and Siakam should get the opportunity to eat tonight.  The pace is up and it just seems everything is in Siakam’s favor in this game.

Center

Top GPP Plays:

  1. JaVale McGee: Who knows what’s going on with the Laker’s rotations but I don’t mind paying down here in order to capitalize on some volatility in this market.  Center is a position that has naturally more standard deviation given that each player can only pick at max two centers on Draftkings.  With that being said,  if McGee is going to get the minutes tonight as the Lakers main center he has a ceiling close to 10x even in only 25-30 minutes of action.  This is one of the best matchups on the board for centers and I believe McGee’s athleticism will play into this game perfectly.
