Bobby’s NBA GPP TOP Plays (3/23/19)

Crunched for time today and I usually don’t have an article on Saturday but will be posting something similair to ‘Notes’ where my top GPP plays per position are listed with some quick hits.

My core continues to be on fire so make sure to check that out tonight by purchasing the NBA Core Plays package at dfskarma.com/shop and asking any questions you have in Discord tonight to fill out the rest of your lineup. Make sure as usual to leverage some of my TOP GPP options with a core of chalkier plays. Let’s get into my top GPP plays for this slate.

AS NBA is a game where last-minute real-life changes are made before tipoff, always monitor breaking news up to last second!

The plays below in this daily article are low owned pivots and GPP plays. This means that these players will be RELATIVELY low owned, and ‘contrarian’ relative to the more highly owned, chalky plays of the night.  I emphasize upside/leverage over ownership, particularly in NBA DFS.

BALL IN!

Point Guard

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Quin Cook: This is the ‘free square’ tonight.  Don’t be that 20% of the field that doesn’t have him.
  2. Trey Burke: The Mavs backcourt is a bit weird right now.  I could see Burke cutting into Jackson’s minutes potentially with THJ out and Burke has a very high ceiling when playing 25-30 minutes.  Stone cold min on DK.
  3. De’Aaron Fox: Everyone is going to be paying down at PG.  To get contrarian consider paying up for Fox in a very elite spot.

Shooting Guard

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Justin Jackson: There is a high probability both him and Burke crush value tonight.  Jackson is much safer locked in for around 30 minutes where he’s seen usage rates over 20% in his last two games.  Great value and projected to go under 15% owned.
  2. Klay Thompson: If you find yourself overexposed to the Mavericks side of things I like bringing it back with Klay Thompson.  SG is pretty weak today in the high tier outside of Booker and maybe Wiggins.  Thompson brings that ceiling you need in GPPs and will be fairly low owned.
  3. Troy Brown: No one knows who this is.  I saw a few clips of him from his previous game and he looked very good. Can’t see many people paying 4.2k for him and he should cruise to value with a massive ceiling.  One of my top GPP options.

Small Forward

Top GPP Plays:

  1. Chandler Parsons: Almost played him last night.  Is he back? He’s seeing minutes and playing well so why not.
  2. Ben Simmons: Him or Butler will be a priority in most of my lineups.
  3. Justin Holiday: Pretty scoring dependent but plays HEAVY minutes.  If things bounce his way with peripherals he could post a huge game.

Power Forward

Top GPP Plays:

  1. John Collins: Lock of the position.
  2. Thomas Bryant: Remember what he did earlier this season?  He’s someone who puts up fantasy numbers when playing minutes.  Projected near 30 tonight.
  3. Dragan Bender: It’s the time of the year where all the Suns scrubs who are priced in the 3k range start seeing significant minutes.  Bender does have some pop at 3.5k and is someone you could consider if looking for punt value at this position.

Center

Top GPP Plays: Center is stacked so I’m going to list 4-5 guys you can play.  As normal on DK, a great strategy is just paying up for two centers. I’ll have three tonight technically since Collins is PF eligible.

  1. DeMarcus Cousins
  2. Jonas Valanciuns
  3. Andre Drummond
  4. Rudy Gobert
  5. Jusuf Nurkic
