Joey’s NBA DFS Value Plays for DraftKings 04/16/21

What’s up Karma Nation! Welcome to another edition of my Value Plays article. I will be focusing solely on DraftKings. Always remember that the value on DraftKings is not always the value on FanDuel, or any other site you are playing on. If you haven’t signed up for core plays yet, make sure to do so by clicking here. We have daily, weekly, monthly, and season-long packages. You can try us out for as little as $5!

Value is mainly determined by two things: injury news or lazy pricing. A player could be underpriced because salaries came before injury news. A site can also be lazy and not raise the price of a player who has been playing way above their price and getting the minutes to prove it’s sustainable.

If you are familiar with NBA DFS you know the best value could open up minutes before the slate locks. So, make sure to check back later in the day, the best value plays for the slate may change depending on if we get injury news we were not expecting or that we were waiting for all day. I will be providing an update at the bottom of the article if there is a need for it. There will be times we receive news less than an hour before lock, that is where it is vital to join our discord for free. Whether it is on the free side or the premium side there will always be people discussing injury news and how it has impacted the slate.

Also, make sure to check out our live odds on Bet Karma to stay up to date on how Vegas is projecting these games.

We have all new NBA prices to end the season, check them out HERE

Raptors Value:

It is Friday with Spring just around the corner. This means the Raptors are doing what we all want to do, take the day off and start our weekend early. The Raptors will be without Pascal Siakam, Kyle Lowry, and OG Anunoby. Also, Gary Trent Jr and Deandre Bembry are doubtful. This leaves Fred VanVleet as the only normal starter playing. We will see Khem Birch in the starting lineup again. This is the perfect revenge spot for the $3800 center. The wounds are still fresh for Birch who was waived by the Magic last week. Birch is averaging close to one DK point a minute. I always say eat the chalk value for bigs, because you know the rebounds will be there. I am also expecting Rodney Hood and Fred Gillespie to have big roles off the bench, with Hood potentially starting if Bembry and Trent are out.

Chicago Value:

Lavine is expected to miss up to two weeks for the Bulls as he enters the NBA’s health and safety protocol. This should open up plenty of value for the Bulls moving forward until they are priced accordingly. This should lead to Coby White entering the starting lineup again for the Bulls. Has been entering the game for Lavine first since returning from injury while Sato has been starting. Leading to more minutes for White tonight at only $5000 he provides amazing scoring upside for a team that really needs it. This leaves a hole in the 6th man spot for guards on Chicago, thus opening up value for guys like Denzel Valentine, Ryan Arcidicano, and Troy Brown Jr who are all close to min price.

Isaiah Stewart:

With Mason Plumlee out tonight, this creates obvious value in Stewart who should draw the start. Plumlee has missed four games this season, leading to four starts for Stewart. In those four starts, Stewart is averaging 30.13 DK points, 27.0 minutes, 12.5 Points, and 8 rebounds per game. He has 29+ DK points in three of the four starts. In the one game where he went under this mark, he had 16.0 DK points mainly due to picking up two quick fouls in the first two minutes of the game, leading to only 22 minutes. As long as he stays out of foul trouble, he will easily hit value.

Injuries To Monitor:

Kawhi Leanard (Q), Tobias Harris (Q), PJ Washington (D), Dwight Howard (Q), Mo Bamba (Q)
