Joey’s PrizePicks Palooza Friday May 10th

Plays of the Day

Kevon Looney UNDER 24.4 fantasy points: Let me just start with this, if you think Looney is going over he should be the staple of all your DFS single game lineups. Now back to PrizePicks. Looney needs to have a ceiling game to reach this point. He always has these random spikes of good play. I know the Rockets will look to switch on Looney onto Harden with screens which could cause him to get get into foul trouble as well as be an awful matchup for him. With no Durant it appears at first glance that Looney would be getting a huge bump especially after how well he played last game but I’ll chalk that up to offensive rebounding variance. I’ll still probably be playing in my showdown lineups just because even if he gets 20 that’s still an amazing game for that price.

Clint Caplea OVER 28.6 fantasy prop: It looks like the Warriors are going to run big and go with more Bogut and Looney that will mean Capela should see more run. If he ends up seeing close to 30 minutes tonight than he will go over. With Durant gone we will see more pick and role action because of no real help side defender which plays perfectly into Capela’s game. He shot 3/10 last game which was his second worst shooting night of the playoffs and fourth worst of the season. I’m expecting a nice bounce back game from him tonight.

Trap of the Day

James Harden 61.8 fantasy points: This prop has just gotten way to high for my liking. Even though he has gone over 60 fantasy points in 3 straight games he has yet to go over 61.8 fantasy points. This is just a hard prop for me to play. This is an elimination game so I would expect Harden to come out firing but I just can’t figure out which way I would go on him. If I had to pick I would go under on him but it’s tough. Seems like he gets most of his scoring/fantasy points in the second half when him and Durant get into a scoring battle usually in the third quarter. Without Durant I don’t really see that happening. Plus he completely disappeared in the fourth quarter after Durant went away. Again if I had to choose a side gun to my head I would lean under but I’m not really touching it.
