What is up Karma Nation, welcome to another edition of my WNBA DFS slate breakdown. I will be writing this article on 3 game slates or more. This article will be focusing on my favorite spend-up spots, as well as, those must-needed value plays. If you are new to WNBA DFS, welcome and I am excited to have you join the WNBA train.

Seattle Storm @ Indiana Fever (+15.5)

As you can see from the 15.5 point spread, this game has blowout risk written all over it. That doesn’t mean you can’t find value in it or that it will stay close. All it means is that there is a 50/50 shot this game gets out of hand. Breanna Stewart is one of those players that always finds herself with massive ownership, but with Wilson $100 fewer than here she might end up being a great leverage play with most ownership coming to Wilson. We also saw Jewell Loyd put up a dud last game against the Sun. So that means both Storm players become amazing leverage spend-ups. As everyone looks to spend up for Laney and Wilson for good reasons.

On the flip side of the ball, it is tough to try to play any of these players but if you think this game stays close leading you to play one of the Storm studs I highly suggest running it back with one or two Fever players. McCowan still continues to dominate the usage on this team but her minutes are always in question. After coming off two games of sub 20 minutes, her minutes’ skyrocketed to 33 against the Sky as she banged it out with Candace Parker. Now she will be tasked with guarding Breanna Stewart another one of the leagues’ best bigs.

Chicago Sky @ Minnesota Lynx (-3.5)

After returning from injury last game, Aerial Powers finds herself on the IR again with a UCL tear in her thumb. Unlucky for the Lynx and Powers who were trying to get the team fully healthy for once this season.

The Sky shored up their frontcourt defensively with the return of Candace Parker. Even though we saw Teaira McCowan put up almost 50 Fpts points against this team last game that doesn’t mean that is going to happen regularly. This is a game where I fade Slyvia Fowles and hammer Napheesa Collier. Collier will have a much easier time getting through this defense compared to Fowles.

On the Sky side of things, Candace Parker is a borderline lock on Draftkings. She is projected for the third-highest scoring player on the slate only behind A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart. Even though she is eighth in salary on DK. With Parker returning this makes everyone else take a huge his in usage and fantasy production. Last game Parker was only supposed to play 20ish minutes but found herself in the game for 30 minutes. This led to Vandersloot having over 50% ownership and Parker only having 15%. I feel like those numbers will be switched tonight.

New York Liberty @ LV Aces (-13)

NY is one of the worst teams at defending bigs. We just saw Griner hang 29 points on them, which was one of the highest points scored this season outside of Tina Charles. The biggest question you have to ask yourself is who will go off Liz Cambage or A’ja Wilson? One will be dropping 50+ fantasy points. I would lean Wilson over Cambage in this matchup for the safer play. Cambage has only played over 30 minutes in two games and that was against good teams that they knew they needed her to win. A game against the Liberty with a 13 point spread means Camabge shouldn’t play more than 25 minutes. This means we can hope for another potential 50+ point fantasy point game from A’Ja. We saw her put up 60 last time against them at low ownership which the community won’t make that mistake again.

The Liberty will be without Sabrina Ionescu again tonight against the Aces. Betnijah Laney is coming off a game where she saw 19 field goal attempts. Her second-highest mark of the season only behind their game against the Aces earlier in the season where she shot the ball 21 times. So let’s combine those stats because she will be without Sabrina and will be going up against the Aces again. My main concern with her is that she may be double-teamed because the Liberty have no one else to score the ball with ease.

Jasmine Jones saw a tiny price increase to $5,200 but still provides amazing value tonight. She played 21 minutes off the bench and put up a solid 26 fantasy points for her price. With no real guard depth and the chance for this game to blowout, expect some extra run for Jones again tonight.
