NBA DFS 1/13/21 – Ben’s Building Blocks

Recap of Last Night

I’ve had a great start to the week winning cash games on both Monday and Tuesday. Last night I made a big swap, getting onto Javale McGee right before the game locked when news broke that he would start in place of Drummond — resulting in 332.5 DK points. This is another slate where things could get wild after lock with Anthony Davis, Eric Bledsoe and Jusuf Nurkic all listed questionable. Get into the Discord and be tuned in before those games lock tonight!

Guard

De’Aaron Fox- Fox has not been someone I’ve played much in DFS this season but there’s no better time to jump on the train than tonight. Not only is he at his lowest price of the season ($7,400 on DK) but he is in the top game environment on the slate. Kings/Blazers has far and away the highest total at 236.5 and it comes with just a 3.5 point spread. Despite his numbers being down across the board, he still leads the team in usage rate at 28%. There’s a ton going on with potential injuries after lock so I want as much PMR as possible tonight.

Forward

Brandon Ingram- Ingram was already a lock for me today due to the ugliness of his position, but news just broke that Zion Williamson will miss tonight’s game in addition to Lonzo Ball who was already out. Ingram leads the Pels in usage rate and per minute production this season, and will have the ball in his hands even more tonight with Ball off the floor. He has been really good in the assists category to start the year and we could see him completely take over in that regard tonight. They will need him to completely carry the load without Zion now and he is arguably the top play on the slate in my opinion even if the individual matchup is meh.

Center

Isaiah Roby- I was lucky to take part in #RobyNight earlier this season, but this time it won’t be a secret with Al Horford listed out for the Thunder. It’s clear OKC is going full youth movement and we are projecting Roby to start once again in Horford’s place. I think he has some serious juice, and the clip of him putting Nikola Vucevic on skates in his last start went viral. He’s posted around 0.9 DK points per minute this season and will be in line for a big time role tonight with no Horford, at a cheap price tag.
