Hello everybody, and welcome back to another DFS Karma Game Theory article by yours truly! Today there are a couple things to monitor regarding injuries and COVID-19 protocols, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. For injury news, please make sure to check our injury article, and watch my NBA DFS First Impression Video, which outlines how these injuries impact the slate. After that, come back to this article to make sense of the news and look at couple of ways to start building for this slate. This is a nicely sized slate with a bit of injury news, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled throughout the day for updated news.

On both sites, I would start by locking in Nickeil Alexander-Walker. The Pelicans are without 3 of their starters tonight in Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson and Lonzo Ball. This should mean that Eric Bledsoe, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Josh Hart and Steven Adams have to step up. These guys are all in play for tonight, and I wouldn’t mind having 3 or even 4 of them in a single lineup as so much usage opens up. I would definitely focus on this Pelicans team tonight.

Another guy I really want to focus in on IF he actually plays is Kyrie Irving. He will be a one man show tonight as James Harden is out due to a hamstring injury. He will see all the usage but I’m curious to see if he actually plays tonight since it is the second end of a back to back, but I think he will play since he just missed three games due to personal reasons.

Another guy I really want to build around tonight is Clint Capela. He will definitely see 32+ minutes a night now with John Collins out for a week. This means that his minutes are solidified for the Hawks and they won’t be running Collins at C. He gets a stellar matchup vs the Spurs tonight and without Collins, he should have all the rebounds to himself in the painted area.

Another team I like is the Los Angeles Clippers, as Paul George will miss another game due to a foot injury. This will bump Luke Kennard, Terrance Mann and the obvious Kawhi Leonard into solid plays in any format. I think Mann and Kennard will get 30 minutes of run and their upsides are very similar to Alexander-Walker and Hart, so I can see a potential pivot here from the Pelicans.

Make sure to watch for main piece of news we are still waiting for-

Bradley Beal-  Obviously if Beal is out, we have to play one of the best players in the league as of late, Russell Westbrook. Also bump up Rui Hachimura if Beal sits.

There are many ways to go for this slate with still news awaiting for us, so make sure to monitor throughout the day to make sure you don’t miss out on anything important! Good luck tonight!
