Hello everybody, and welcome back to another DFS Karma Game Theory article by yours truly! Today there are a couple things to monitor regarding injuries and COVID-19 protocols, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled. For injury news, please make sure to check our injury article. After that, come back to this article to make sense of the news and look at couple of ways to start building for this slate. This is a nicely sized slate with a bit of injury news, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled throughout the day for updated news.

On both sites, I would start by locking in Nickeil Alexander-Walker. The Pelicans are without 3 of their starters tonight in Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson and Lonzo Ball, and now Josh Hart is also out with a thumb injury. This should mean that Eric Bledsoe, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Kira Lewis and Steven Adams have to step up. They get a pretty nice matchup vs the Hawks who are also shorthanded with Trae Young, John Collins, DeAndre Hunter and Danilo Gallinari all out. This could be a great game stack- I love both sides of the ball here with both teams shorthanded. I would try to get at least three Pelicans and at least two Hawks tonight. I like Huerter, Bogdanovic, and Capela on the Hawks side.

Another guy I really like is Fred VanVleet. I would have had Josh Hart and NAW in the same lineup tonight but since Hart is out I can pay up a bit for an underpriced FVV. He will definitely man the point guard position with Lowry out and vs the Warriors who are depleted, this should be an easy matchup for the undrafted guard. VanVleet does it all, he can score the ball, rebound, rack up assists and defensive stats, and that’s exactly what you want. The Raptors have been really bad lately. The Warriors present a couple good plays on their side, as Steph Curry is out with a lingering tailbone injury in which he landed on his tailbone in last night’s game vs the Heat.

Another guy I really want to build around tonight is Clint Capela. He will definitely see 32+ minutes a night now with John Collins out for a week. This means that his minutes are solidified for the Hawks and they won’t be running Collins at C. He gets a stellar matchup vs the Pelicans tonight and without Gallinari as well, this team should be working through Bogdanovic and Capela.
