Wofford enters today’s game on a 21 game winning streak. Given none of their opponents have been near the caliber of team Kentucky is. They rolled past Seton Hall in round 1. Fletcher Magee lead the team in scoring with 24 points. Wofford is 12th in the country in scoring, averaging 83 PPG, but once again they haven’t faced a defense like the one Big Blue will present. Their only losses have been Vs Tennessee twice and LSU. Kentucky will be without star PJ Washington again this game, but that didn’t matter last game as Keldon Johnson lead the team with 25 points and 6 rebounds. Reid Travis chipped in 18 points and Tyler Herro put up 14. They shot 53% and out rebounded ACU 44-17. They average 48% on the season and are holding opponents to 40%. Coach Cal will not let his team over look this Wofford team and will have them highly motivated to make another deep run this year. Cal has made it to the Sweet 16 or better 11 of the past 13 seasons including 9 times to the Elite 8+. He always manages to get his team’s to peak in March. We will back the short favorite today in the Cats!
