Ben's NFL Week 15 Building Blocks

Top Tier: Russell Wilson- Russell Wilson is in the drivers seat for MVP now that Carson Went went down ( :( ) and has the highest floor among all other Quarterbacks. He had the legitimate worst matchup a QB can have last week against the Jaguars on the road, and still put up 271 yards and 3 touchdowns. He continues to add 3-5 points weekly on the ground increasing his floor even more. The matchup with the Rams could be better, but as I just pointed out it doesn't even matter. If you have the him.

Mid Tier: Jimmy Garoppolo- I was all in on Jimmy G last week and I'm going right back to the well in week 15. The Titans rank just 23rd in pass-defense DVOA and are two weeks removed from giving up over 360 yards to Tom Savage. He has played exceptionally since taking over as the 49ers starting QB, throwing for 293 and 334 yards in his two starts. He has just 1 TD pass in those 2 games however and is due for some positive touchdown regression, which I can see coming this week.

Low Tier: Nick Foles- Many are quick to say the Eagles are done without Carson Wentz, but I don't see it that way. Folks has excelled in this exact role throughout his career and won 8 games when Mike Vick was hurt in his first tenure with the Eagles. Foles knows the offense and this is by far the best Eagles team he has ever been on. The Giants defense has been a disaster this season and they rank 25th in overall DVOA. If you need a salary saver at QB on Sunday, look no further than Foles.

Running Back

Top Tier: LeVeon Bell- Okay, I'm not going into much detail here because...It's LeVeon freaking Bell! He has almost 100 more touches than anyone else in the NFL and you just can't pass up that type of floor in cash games.

Mid Tier: Kenyan Drake- Kenyan Drake has been amazing for the Dolphins since the Jay Ajayi trade. He's posted over 140 all-purpose yards in each of the last 2 weeks and now matches up with the Bills who have been gashed on the ground recently. They rank just 24th in run-defense DVOA and this is another smash spot for Drake at a cheap price tag.

Low Tier: Gio Bernard- Joe Mixon was expected to be back for the Bengals this week, but has since been downgraded to doubtful. With Mixon out last week, Gio rushed for 11 times and also saw 8 targets in the passing game. It's not a great matchup with the Vikings, though they did give up 3 touchdowns to Jonathan Stewart last week, but Gio is still priced like other RB's are in the picture for the Bengals and we cannot pass up that type of volume at his price.

Wide Receiver

Top Tier: Antonio Brown- It's crazy that AB is almost in the range of Bell when it comes to thinking about whether or not you can fade him. He's seeing a ridiculous target share, 59 over the last 4 weeks, and has over 20 fantasy points in each of those games. The Patriots rank 24th in pass-defense DVOA and it looks like jamming in Bell/Brown will be the chalky cash game strategy this week.

Mid Tier: Adam Thielen- Adam Thielen has been fantasy footballs darling this season and has been a PPR machine for the majority of the season. He has thrived with Case Keenum at QB and has seen 8+ targets in every game this season except for 2. The Bengals defense is banged up and was ripped up in the slot by Kendall Wright last week for over 100 yards.

Low Tier: Marquise Goodwin- Marquise Goodwin has seen over 50% of the 49ers since Jimmy Garoppolo took over as the Quarterback and he gets the same great matchup against the Titans. He, like Garoppolo, is due for positive touchdown regression as he has been seeing all of those targets, but has no touchdowns over the last 3 weeks. My bold call for week 15 is Jimmy G and Goodwin hook up for 2 touchdowns!

Tight End

Top Tier: Rob Gronkowski- It's highly unlikely that you are going to be able to pay up at Tight End in cash games this week with the high priced players in good spots. That being said, if you are going with a contrarian approach and choose to pay up, Gronk is your guy like always. Ground should be fresh after missing last game due to a suspension, and now he comes back to an expected shootout with the Steelers in a game that both teams will want to win. It's Gronk.

Mid Tier: Evan Engram- Engram has seen 6+ targets in every game except for one this season and he continues to be the only legitimate pass catcher on the Giants outside of Sterling Shepard. His price is coming back down to a usable range and I'm willing to hop back on the train at that price.

Low Tier: Ricky Seals-Jones- Ricky Seals-Jones is actually a dynamic weapon in the passing game for the Cardinals, the issue is he just hasn't been seeing the snaps. Jermaine Gresham is expected to miss this weeks game, which will lead RSJ's snaps and targets both to rise. He matches up Redskins who are bottom 5 this season against Tight Ends...if there was a spot for him to have a great game it is this one.
