Call of Duty Saturday Breakdown – New York Home Series 7/11/20

In this article, I will break down the matches for Saturday July 11th. After Friday, we learned that the competitive COD meta has changed a lot and it heavily favors AR players. With that in mind, let’s hop into the matchups.

Atlanta FaZe vs. Toronto Ultra

The Toronto Ultra look like one of the more improved teams as a result of the recent changes to the new rulesets. However, they are matching up against one of the best teams in the league. I expect this series to go four or five games, and it has a ton of players that you can expect to perform well.

Favorite Plays

Simp, ATL (FD:$10,300, DK:$8,800) – Simp has consistently been one of Atlanta’s best players. With the new meta, Simp has an AR in his hands and has gotten even better as a result of it. Simp put up 168 FP on Fanduel and I expect him to continue his hot play against Ultra.

Abezy, ATL (FD: $9,400, DK: $7,800) – Abezy was coming into the tournament as one of the sub machine gun players in COD and this new meta isn’t slowing him down. Abezy looked super impressive on Friday and I expect more of the same on Saturday.

Cammy, TOR (FD: $8,900, DK: $7,400) – With the new AR meta, Cammy has looked great with it in his hands. Cammy had a 1.18 K/D on Friday and also was one of Ultra’s best objective players.

Chicago Huntsmen vs. New York Subliners

Both of these teams looked to be improved with the recent changes in the competitive Call of Duty scene. I expect this matchup to be a really good one and can easily see this series going four or five games.

Favorite Plays

Arcitys, CHI (FD: $8,600, DK: $8,400) – I said it in Friday’s preview, but Arcitys is finally able to play his natural role, which is an AR with the new meta. Arcitys looked much more comfortable on Friday and I expect him to continue to dominate with this new role.

Mack, NYSL (FD:$9,800, DK:$9,000) – Mack has had an incredibly impressive rookie season so far and he continues to show that he is one of the top players in the game. Mack posted a 1.51 K/D on Friday, which was the best of any player.

Los Angeles Guerillas vs. Paris Legion

The Paris Legion are still searching to get back to their winning ways, but I don’t think it will come against LAG. The Guerrillas have looked really solid in the past few events, but can’t seem to beat the top teams. However, they should have little difficulty against the Legion. For this matchup, I don’t really think I’m going to be targeting any Paris players.

Favorite Plays

Decemate, LAG (FD:$8,700, DK:$8,600) – With the new AR meta, Decemate has been able to be another super solid option for the Guerillas. On Friday, he posted 122 FP on Fanduel and looked really comfortable in this role for LAG.

Blazt, LAG (FD:$9,600, DK:$8,400) – I wrote about how the new meta should help Blazt on Friday and I’ll write it again. Blazt has been a top AR all year long for LAG and the new meta allows him to be even better.

London Royal Ravens vs. Minnesota Rokkr

London looked very solid on Friday but they ran into an even better team in the Chicago Huntsmen. The Royal Ravens will have an easier time against the Rokkr on Saturday. Minnesota looked flat out awful on Friday and I’ll be staying away from their players on Saturday because of it.

Favorite Plays

Wuskin, LON (FD:$8,700, DK:$7,800) – Wuskin has been a top AR in the game for the whole year and like many other players, these changes have helped Wuskin even more. Wuskin posted a 1.43 K/D ratio on Friday, which ranked 5th for all players.

London, TEAM (FD:$5,800, DK:$2,000) – With the way Minnesota Rokkr looked on Friday, I think London is the easiest pick here for this slate. I think that London will make easy work of the Rokkr.
