League of Legends (LPL/LCK) Breakdown- 4/10/20

What’s up everyone, our last article was hit by some massive upsets, but we’re looking to get better luck tonight. Our team here at Karma just launched our premium package, so if you haven’t signed up yet, I would advise you to! You can find it on the site https://dfskarma.com/esports-core-plays-live/ here. Let’s get into tonight’s breakdown!

LCK Matches

DRX vs DWG (DRX-260)

When I was previewing matchups for the whole week, this was one I was thinking could be super close. Both teams have been trending up and up, DRX beat DWG a few weeks ago, but since then both teams have been much improved. Then, out of nowhere DWG lose a 0-2 series to Griffin. I went back and watched and I really couldn’t figure out what their plan was to even start the game. The finished with single digit kills in an awful 0-2 series. The main thing I think DRX will be able to take advantage of in this game is their ability to win with their strategy in champ select and in the long game. DWG tries to take advantage with the early game with a lot of dives, but DRX has a great mid and late game and overall is a better team. DRX averages around 12.8 Kills a game which is good for LCK, and only die around 10 times per match. They also have the best DRA (61%) across the LCK.

My Prediction: DRX 2-1 (GPP)

T1 vs KT Rolster (T1-425)

The LCK has a very weird and odd playoff system, every seed is important with their gauntlet playoff bracket. T1 still has a huge chip on their shoulder trying to lock up that 1 seed over Gen G and I think they have a great opportunity to pick up another win tonight. T1 is top 3 in almost every statistical category, and have the best MID/LATE game in the LCK. I think KT has been a good team in the past few weeks, but they should have no chance against T1, as T1 gives up very few points to their opponents and this is reflected by their low deaths per game at only 7.8. T1 is a great cash team but they have limited upside. I likely will just attack Teddy and Faker here, and sprinkle in Effort. Canna is a great cash option with little upside. This team is very well-rounded.

My Prediction: T1 2-1 (CASH)

LPL Matches

DMO vs V5 (DMO-450)

This is a good matchup between the two worst teams (standings wise) in the LPL. V5 has one win, and by one win I mean one GAME win, they are 0-12 in series. They have really struggled, and I see that happening again tonight. DMO isn’t very good, they only average 11.3 kills per game while averaging 14 deaths as well per game. However, when you look at V5’s stats, you can see just how big the gap is, V5 dies on average 19 times per game, only have a 32.8% DRA, give up close to 6 towers per game, and are the only team in the LPL to have an average match time of under 30 minutes. When you look at this from a “TEAM” perspective, this is what you want in terms of playing DMO. They will have all the opportunities to max out their team score, with these turrets, dragons, barons and more. I like everyone on DMO, they should all be in play with upside.

My Prediction: DMO 2-0 (CASH ON FD, GPP on DK)

FPX vs VG (FPX-600)

FPX has shown that they are one of the best and they have a very nice play style which I personally love watching. Doinb, Tian, and LWX all have immense upside, and their chemistry in team fights are really fluid. They have the highest kills per game on the slate at 15.6, and I think they will sit around this tonight. VG has found success trying to go back to more simple champs that their players feel more comfortable with, but I think FPX will either ban, or outplay them. They are just flat out a better team in every aspect. The -600 favorite is there for a reason. They have good upside, if VG comes out with confidence and aggression this series could turn out bloodier than I expect.

My Prediction: FPX 2-0 (All formats where you can fit)

BLG vs TES (TES- 375)

TES absolutely burned me a couple days ago. I’m hoping this lowers their ownership somehow but I’m going right back to them. When I watched the game, it seemed like the aggression caught them off guard. However BLG does not have the pieces to team fight effectively, and TES could just feast on them tonight. BLG only average around 10.5 kills per game, and die around 13. I like TES to bounce back here, and it will be in the hands of my MVP, Knight. He leads the team in KP at 77%, and he will eclipse 100 points again tonight in my opinion. He will lead this team to a W with the debut of Jackeylove still to be determined. Fire up TES tonight!

My Prediction: TES 2-0 (All formats where you can fit)
