League of Legends Playoff Breakdown (LPL/LCK) – 4/22/20

What’s up everyone? It’s been a pretty nice LPL/LCK Spring Split, I hate to see it end so soon. On the bright side, we have EU Masters, which is a tournament consisted of some really talented players that are auditioning for a role in the LEC, some CBBLOL this weekend, along with COD on Friday. A lot to look forward to, let’s get it! Today, I’ll be going over the 2 games we have on tonight’s slate + the one extra split slate game.

T1 vs DRX (T1 -235)

I think this series will be pretty interesting to watch, DRX is more objective driven on paper than I expected, with a 62% DRA, a whole 9% higher than T1. However, T1 is by far the more skilled team, and this showed in the earlier meetings between T1 and DRX. Let me try not to bore you with all these stats, but T1 beat DRX 2-0, and 2-1 earlier in the year. T1 dominated every game they won, and the one game they lost seemed like a fluke and lost of focus, as no towers and only 5 kills were accrued. Let’s get into why I love T1 so much tonight. In playoffs, this is where experience, and good coaching shine. Let’s keep it simple here: DRX looked really good against DWG for the first two games, then just fell apart after that and almost lost. T1 has some new players with little experience in playoffs but expect Faker, the GOAT LoL player to take leadership and show his dominance.

T1- 3-1, T1 is a great option to pair with the team I’ll highlight below.

ES/WE (ES-240)

ES destroyed WE just a couple weeks ago, and I think that the same thing happens here, in the hands of Cryin. Cryin had 27 kills in just two games vs WE, and EStar is known as the team full of young and talented, up and coming players. Cryin and Wink will lead their team to the next round, and I believe that they will be the main carries on this young squad. Gonna keep it short here, get as many players as you can from ES while focusing in on Wink/Cryin. ES will capitalize on any mistakes WE make, and WE die around 20 times per loss. On top of that, the implied kill total is 94.5 for the first 3 games. That means around 31 kills per game. I expect ES to be the one getting majority of them.
ES 3-0, all in on them!

RNG/EDG on separate slate, EDG -140)*

I love EDG here, RNG have shown some major weaknesses and this was shown in their game vs SN. It was pretty awful- they couldn’t close out the game and let SN who were down in kills and gold come back and backdoor them and end up stealing the game. They have shown some major communication weaknesses and have been getting caught out as a team way too much. I think EDG is the better overall team due to their team play compared to RNG even though RNG is more talented players wise. I like EDG on the second split slate on DraftKings for sure, and I think their price is about right.
EDG 3-1, good to pair with ES.

I appreciate you reading to the end! Please check out the core plays on the site as we are adding Call of Duty and will be continuing to play LPL and LCK while it lasts, while continuing EU Masters! DM me for any questions.
