Slate Thoughts:

We have two huge LPL favorites on tonight’s slate and both make strong cases for the top plays of the night.  First we have JDG who are taking on Ultra Prime.  We have witnessed Ultra Prime get absolutely blitzed over their last few contest, especially in their last series vs. EDG where EDG were able to put up slate breaking totals.  UP are a team that rank 2nd in the LPL in Deaths per loss, while JDG are rank 3rd in the LPL in kills per win.  I firmly believe this sets up for a JDG route, and one where they could put up slate breaking totals, like we witnessed from EDG in Ultra Primes last match.  Look to get tons of JDG tonight in all formats, I know I will.

The other huge LPL favorite tonight is LGD.  LGD are taking on a very poor Rogue Warriors team.  LGD have played really well so far this split and have a few big series wins vs. JDG and SN.  This matchup is a prime spot for LGD to continue their strong play, and continue to put up some impressive totals.  In an ideal world we would play both LGD and JDG in a lineup and take home all the money… however, the builds with both of these heavy favorites in them, are quite ugly.  I do expect both of these squads to win their series via sweeps, and also put up very impressive numbers.  Between the two, I like the upside of JDG more than LGD.

My top LCK team tonight is DK.   I don’t see this matchup being as cut a dry as the two LPL matchups, but I do believe the better team, DK, will prevail here.  NS swept T1 back on the 24th, and are fully capable of upsetting this Damwon team.   I believe that Showmaker and Canyon are going to be a little too much for this NS team tonight.  This series does project to be pretty low in the kill category, making it less appealing than the LPL matchups, however, DK has shown some pretty good upside in wins this split, and on that note, so has NS. I don’t mind getting to some DK in gpp’s tonight, but would focus on making them my short build.  Also something to remember, their is some risk with this DK team because of the uncertainty of the starters, but I do believe it will be Malrang again.

My predictions for tonight are as follows:
JDG win 2-0; DK win 2-0; LGD win 2-0; KT win 2-1

Good luck tonight! Cores for both FD and DK will be posted on the site tonight.
