Slate Thoughts:
We have ourselves a nice 5 game slate on tap tonight, and one that should bring us plenty of great matchups to target in our gpps. Before we get in to who we should target in tournaments, I want to touch base with who we should prioritize in our cash lineups. FPX leads the way for me tonight for my main cash team. FPX come in to this matchup vs a struggling IG team as -500 favorites, and a slate leading 16.5 projected kill total. IG have been so bad recently, and unfortunately have to face an FPX team that is playing really well right now. Look for FPX to make light work out of this IG team and win via sweep. If you go with IG you might just be playing with fire, however, we have seen IG rise to the occasion a few times in recent memory and play really well vs. some of the LPL studs. I will not be touching IG tonight. FPX is my main team for cash games, and can also be considered strongly for tournaments. Doinb, Tian and Lwx are my top guys to target from FPX.
A team I will be looking to get plenty of tournament exposure too is Team WE. WE inserted Shanks into the lineup in their last series win vs. BLG, and they looked pretty good with him in there. I feel like this is a match that could end up being one of the highest scoring of the night. WE is slightly better than OMG in most statistical categories, and with the addition of Shanks in the MID lane I really like their chances here. I wouldn’t mind having a little exposure to OMG here as well, due to their extremely low price tags, and the upside they present in a win. However, most of my exposure here will be going to Team WE.
Finally we have LNG. LNG will be taking on a Rare Atom team that has played really well this split. Both of these teams are viable tonight and both teams are priced pretty low on DK. We have seen the upside that LNG have in wins this year, however, both of these teams are pretty slow, thus limiting both teams upside here. Of the two, LNG has the most upside. Tarzan and Light are my top plays from this LNG squad, and one of the two will man my captain spot if I end up on LNG tonight.
My predictions for tonight are as follows:
FPX win 2-0; T1 win 2-1; WE win 2-0; LNG win 2-1; LSB win 2-1
