Sriracha’s League of Legends (LEC) Breakdown- 6/12/20

What’s up guys! It’s been a long time, and I’m so glad to be writing this LEC/LCS article today. It’s finally back! I am going to be using a different format for my articles, than what you guys are used to. It’s going to be more concise and straight to the point. Let’s get after it!

Mad Lions vs G2 (G2- 280)

These two squads have faced off numerous times in the Spring Split, and now they get to start off their LEC Summer Split in a competitive atmosphere. The odds have G2 -280 and I would agree with that, G2 is definitely the team to beat and they are looking to win this 2020 Summer Split. They matched up 4 times in the Spring Split, splitting the series 2-2. Every game was competitive, and most wins were bloody. G2 hit 20+ kills in all but one win vs ML, and I think we can see something similar tomorrow. If Mad Lions win, they will be in the top GPP lineups for sure. They are worth a shot! Interesting to note that Perkz has moved to ADC and Caps had shifted to MID. Don’t think this affects their fantasy output a ton.

My favorite plays from this game for CASH: ALL of G2 is in play.

GPPs: Carzzy, Humanoid, Orome

VIT vs S04 (S04- 165)

VIT won an abysmal 2 games in the Spring Split and really struggled. They were last in the league (2-16). They made some roster changes, adding Milica and Nji to replace Selfie and Skeanz. I don’t know if this will change their team a whole lot, and I still expect them to be a bottom feeder team. Pretty plain and simple here, they ranked last with a .57 K/D in the Spring Split, along with a 29% dragon rate… S04 plays slow, they have the longest game time in the LEC. That could limit their upside a bit because they tend to stay away from team fights, but they are worth a look in GPPS.

My Favorite plays from this game: S04 all in play, could be lower owned. *SirNukesAlot replacing Dreams based off early notes

OG vs SK (OG -750)

If VIT isn’t 10th this split, then I can see SK being 10th. They had the worst gold differential  in the league @ 15 minutes in the league at -966. They moved Jenax to top, and added a new coach, along with adding Zazee to their mid lane. I don’t see them being a good team this split at all, even with subtle “improvements”. OG should roll over them here and expect me to attack SK every slate.

My favorite plays from this game: All of OG, and could be chalky.

ROG vs XL (ROG-225)

Excel has made great strides three splits in a row, getting better and better. Now, they add Special and Kryze to the main roster and replace Expect and Mickey. I like their objective numbers, they have the 2nd highest herald % in the LEC, at 61%, and also have the second highest 1st turret % in the LEC. However, I think I’ll be avoiding them here. They will be a team I play against teams like SK, VIT, etc. Let’s talk about Rogue, they made it to the playoffs where they went down to OG 3-1. They didn’t add anyone or move anyone around, this is the same exact coaching staff and roster as Spring. They have really good early game control, 3rd highest GD in the league at +602, and the highest 1st turret % at 70%! They should snowball and I like them to be a super low owned GPP team here.

My Favorite Plays from this game: Hans Sama, Larssen, Inspired

MSF vs FNC (FNC -230)

These odds surprise me. FNC is by far the more superior team, and they can compete with G2 and OG for the top team in the league any day. However, MSF played extremely well in the Spring with two rookies, and now they add Kobbe. They lost to Rogue in round 1 of the playoffs (3-1). MSF have a solid mid-late game, with the 3rd highest Herald and Baron % in the LEC. They have a great roster that I can’t wait to watch this split, but I don’t think they’ll be able to beat FNC tomorrow. FNC made it to the grand finals where they got 3-0’d by G2. They made no roster changes, and the coach returned as well. They have an amazing 1.32 K/D (2nd best in LEC) along with the highest drag % in the LEC, at 72%.

My favorite plays from this game: Rekkles, Nemesis, Selfmade

GPP: Kobbe, Febiven

Predictions for Overall Summer 2020 Split:

G2/FNC/OG/ML/MSF

ROG/XL/S04/VIT/SK

I think G2 repeats and wins the 2020 Summer Split!
