More or Less 2/2 – Green Bay Packers/San Francisco 49ers
Jimmy Garoppolo has seen plenty of ups and downs throughout the 2019 season. Through 17 games, he’s averaging 241.7 passing yards per game. That total drops to only 237.4 passing yards per game at home. Garoppolo also gets a tough matchup against the Green Bay Packers. They are allowing only 232.6 passing yards per game in 2019. Green Bay ranks ninth in the NFL in adjusted yards per attempt (6.7) this season. Surprisingly, Garoppolo posted 253 passing yards against the Packers in their only matchup this season. He averaged a ridiculous 12.7 yards per attempt, though. He’s likely to be extremely less efficient this week, setting this total a bit high.
Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been as dominant of a passer this season. He’s averaging 249.7 passing yards per game through 17 games. With that being said, he gets a terrible matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. They are holding their opponents to a league-low 169.2 passing yards per game. In their only matchup in 2019, Rodgers needed 33 pass attempts to throw for only 104 yards. Both of these defenses struggle more against the run than the pass. It wouldn’t be surprising if each offense focuses heavily on their rushing attack this week, limiting each passer.
