Important Notes

The most important note for StatHero is their scoring system. It’s different from what you’re likely used to, and we need to note what the most important aspects are. Quarterbacks are far and away the most important position, specifically passing yards. They get 0.05 fantasy points for every 1 passing yard compared to only 0.1 fantasy points per 1 rushing or receiving yard. For instance, a quarterback would receive 15 fantasy points for 300 yards passing. He would need 3.75 passing touchdowns to reach that. Running backs and receivers would need 1,50 yards to hit that number. They would need 2.5 touchdowns to score 15 fantasy points.

Tight ends are another major part of their scoring. They will receive 1.5 fantasy points per reception, while running backs and wide receivers only receive 1 fantasy point per reception. With StatHero’s current scoring system, it could be a key to stack a team with a dominant quarterback and tight end pairing to go along with the other options on the offense.

The final scoring that could make or break your lineup is the distance bonus. Quarterbacks receive a slightly smaller bonus for long passing touchdowns, while running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends get a bit more of a bonus for touchdowns. Ultimately, you want touchdowns to come from 10+ yards out, which is the distance the bonus’ start at.

Tennessee Titans

Ryan Tannehill/Derrick Henry/A.J. Brown

Ryan Tannehill has looked outstanding since taking over as the starter. He’s averaging 264.1 yards and 2.1 touchdowns on 26.7 pass attempts per game. He’s also averaging 20.4 yards and 0.4 touchdowns on the ground in those 7 starts. Tannehill gets a great matchup against the Houston Texans this week. They are allowing 265.8 passing yards per game in 2019. They have also given up 28 passing touchdowns, while recording only 7 interceptions. The Tennessee Titans are -3 point favorites in a game set at 50 points, and they feature an implied team total of 26.5 points this weekend.

Derrick Henry has been enjoying an elite season, but he has stepped his game up since Tannehill was inserted into the starting lineup. In those 7 games, Henry is averaging 118.1 yards and 1.3 touchdowns on 19.6 carries per game. He has seen 12 targets into those games, posting 12 receptions for 104 yards and 1 touchdown. Henry gets a matchup against Houston, who is allowing 109.5 rushing yards per game. They have also allowed their opponents to average 4.5 yards per carry. The Texans have only given up seven rushing touchdowns this season, though.

A.J. Brown has found success as a rookie in 2019. He has posted 39 receptions for 779 yards and 6 touchdowns on 61 targets through 13 games. Brown has caught fire over his last 3 games, averaging 4.0 receptions for 111.0 yards and 1.0 touchdown on 5.3 targets per game. He has seen 734 air yards with a 12.0 aDOT this season. Brown has also seen a team-high 6 targets, recording 4 receptions for 46 yards and 3 touchdowns inside-the-20.

Seattle Seahawks

Russell Wilson/Chris Carson/Tyler Lockett

Russell Wilson has been ice cold recently, but he has found plenty of success this season. Through 13 starts, he’s averaging 263.2 yards and 2.0 touchdowns on 32.2 pass attempts per game. He owns 312 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground, as well. Wilson gets an interesting matchup against the Carolina Panther, who are allowing 234.8 passing yards per game. They have only given up 16 passing touchdowns this season, while recording 13 interceptions. Still, the Seattle Seahawks are -6 point favorites in a game set at 48.5 points, giving them one of the highest implied team totals on the slate at 21.3 points.

Chris Carson is averaging 81.3 yards and 0.4 touchdowns on 18.9 carries per game. He also owns 35 receptions for 242 yards and 2 touchdowns on 44 targets in 2019. Carson will take on a larger load this weekend, as well, as Rashaad Penny will miss the remainder of the season. He gets a plus matchup against Carolina, who is allowing 139.2 rushing yards per game. They are also giving up 5.3 yards per carry, while allowing a league-high 24 rushing touchdowns in 2019.

Tyler Lockett has been a boom or bust option this season. He’s averaging 5.2 receptions for 67.2 yards and 0.5 touchdowns on 6.7 targets per game. Lockett has seen 1,069 air yards to go along with a 12.3 aDOT. He has been ultra-efficient in the red zone, where he has turned 15 targets into 10 receptions for 90 yards and 5 touchdowns. Lockett recently announced that he’s finally healthy, and he boasts more upside than any other Seattle receiver.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jameis Winston/Chris Godwin/Breshad Perriman

Jameis Winston has found plenty of success in terms of fantasy this season. He’s averaging 316.5 yards and 2.0 touchdowns on 39.4 pass attempts per game. He boasts 225 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground, as well. Winston gets a plus matchup against the Detroit Lions, who are giving up 276.5 passing yards per game. They have also allowed 26 passing touchdowns, while recording only 5 interceptions this season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are -3 point favorites in a game set at 46.5 points. They own an implied team total of 24.8 points.

Mike Evans is currently doubtful for this weekend, but there’s almost no possibility that he suits up. That will allow Chris Godwin to play the role of the clear-cut WR1. Through 13 games, he’s averaging 6.2 receptions for 93.2 yards and 0.7 touchdowns on 8.7 targets per game. Godwin has seen 1,176 air yards this season, posting a 10.4 aDOT. He has seen 12 red zone targets, posting 8 receptions for 47 yards and 4 touchdowns. Godwin is likely to be the top red zone option with Evans injured, though.

Breshad Perriman has been far from an efficient player in 2019. He has seen 43 targets through 11 games. He only owns 19 receptions for 26.9 yards and 2 touchdowns this season. Perriman is averaging 4.0 receptions for 78.5 yards and 0.5 touchdowns on 5.5 targets per game over his last 2 games. He has seen 609 air yards with a 14.2 aDOT in limited action. Perriman has also turned only 2 red zone targets into 2 receptions for 27 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Tampa Bay offense has the potential to find success with any receiver, and Perriman could play a similar role that Evans does when he’s healthy.
