CFB Top Plays for 9/13/19

D’Eriq King (HOU) :  Friday provides us with only a 3 game slate so we need to play the obvious studs and find value around them.  I am starting my lineups off with King in what should be a high scoring environment. King is someone who is on many experts Heisman list to start the season, and is capable of putting up huge numbers.  King has a new coach in Dana Holgerson who led some very high scoring offenses at West Virginia over the past years, and now has brought that system to Houston. Houston has not shortage of weapons for King, one of which will be mentioned later in this article.  King gives us a solid floor due to his immense rushing abilities and his ability to create something out of nothing. Houston is going to have to score and score and score, because their defense is HORRIBLE! I think this Houston offense is only going to get better with each week that passes as they begin to get comfortable in a new offense.

Marquez Stevenson (HOU): When you talk about playing pieces from the Houston offense in what looks to be a shootout, you cannot forget about Stevenson.  Stevenson is one of the most dynamic WR is college football playing in one of the best offenses in college football. I expect King to find him early and often, and do not expect the WSU defense to put up much of a fight.  Stevenson has gotten off to a slow start this year, but just a year ago he finished the season with 75 rec for 1019 yds and 9 touchdowns, including 14 rush attempts for 126 yds and 2 touchdowns. Again, this is going to be a high scoring affair and this offense is led by both King and Stevenson.  I will be way overweight on these two and find them as 2 core guys you must start your lineups off with. (Consider stacking King, Stevenson and Courtney Lark in a lineup) * Lark is a very talented WR and I expect him to have a big season, and what better game than this week to break out and put up huge numbers.  Not to mention he is way underpriced on Fanduel.

Michael Carter (UNC):  Wow, this UNC team led by Mack Brown has absolutely shocked me so far this season.  I fully expected USC to beat them and Miami, and so far Sam Howell has led them to 2 big wins to start the season off.  A big part of their success this year has been their ability to run the ball and take pressure off of their freshman quarterback.  I expect them to continue running the ball to set up up their passing game this week vs. Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Carter and Williams have been splitting carries in UNC backfield, but Carter is averaging 13 carries and 4.1 ypc over the first 2 games and at his discounted price over Williams I will take the savings on a 3 game slate.  I expect this game to be a little higher scoring game that expected and expect UNC ground game to be heavily involved.

* One thing to keep an eye on is the injury status to both Cade Carney and Kendall Hinton of Wake Forest.  If they both are ruled out that gives big bumps to Kenneth Walker III(RB) and Steven Claude(WR). I will keep Karma Members updated on those situations in Discord.
