Top Value Plays
Quarterbacks
Jeff Sims (GT): DK 5,100 FD 7,300
Sims has a tough matchup with Clemson this weekend, but at only $5,100 he is a decent punt play. Sims offers us a nice floor with his rushing ability. GT is expected to be down the whole game, so they should be throwing it quite a bit. If you are looking to save money at the QB position, look at Sims for his really low price tag.
P. Jurkovec (BC): FD 8,500
Jurkovec has looked really good in this new BC offense. He can beat you with his arm, and with his legs. We just watched Sam Howell torch this VT defense last week, and I could see Jurkovec do the same. I expect he will go over looked with all of the big names on this slate. Make sure if you do play him, pair him up with one of his pass catchers.
Running Backs
Wayne Taulapapa (Virginia): DK 4,900
Armstrong is looking like he might miss this game with a concussion. If he does end up missing this game, Virginia will lean on Wayne’s rushing ability more with the absence of a mobile quarterback. He gets plenty of goal line carries and for $4900 he should have a great chance to hit value this weekend.
Isaiah Spiller (TX A&M): DK 6300 FD 7700
Spiller has seen his carries continue to rise each week, and I expect the same this week. He looked really good last week vs. Florida. His price is very appealing on FD. He gets a decent matchup vs. Mississippi State this week and carries a nice ceiling at his price on both sites.
Wide Receivers
Calvin Austin III (Memphis): DK 4800 FD 7700
I love targeting players from this game this weekend. This game carries one of the highest totals on the slate, and both secondary’s really struggle to slow down opposing passing games. Austin has become more involved in this offense over the course of the first couple games, and I think he has a great chance to explode this week, with most of UCF’s attention going to Dykes and Coxie!
Treylon Burks (Arkansas): DK 4700 FD 7100
I mentioned in my Game theory article, that I really like this Ole Miss vs. Arkansas game. Treylon Burks looks like he is on track to play this week, and that will be a huge boost to the Razorback offense. Burks is the #1 receiver for this Arkansas offense, and he will get a chance to go up against a very exploitable Ole Miss defense. I believe he is to cheap on both sites. Burks is a great play in an Ole Miss/ Arkansas game stack. Corral-Moore-Yeboah-Burks looks good to me!
