Top Value Plays

Quarterbacks

Luke McCaffrey (Nebraska):  DK 6900

McCaffrey appears to have done enough last week to get the nod again this week. Martinez had been struggling quite a bit in this Nebraska offense, which led to Frost looking to McCaffrey for answers.  McCaffrey responded with a solid outing vs. a very bad Penn State defense throwing for 152 yards and TD, also adding in 60+ yards on the ground with a TD. McCaffrey is not a good passer of the ball, but his rushing ability is something that gives him really good value. There always is that risk that he struggles and they turn back to Martinez, but he shouldn’t have too tough of a time vs. this Illini defense.

JT Daniels (Georgia): FD 7500

Daniels is finally getting his number called at UGA. He finally is getting his chance to show what he can do, and that he can still perform at a very high level. All reports out of UGA are that he received all the first team reps last week and this week, and has looked really good doing so. Bennett is expected to miss this week, so no surprise Bennett showing (thank god). Daniels will have George Pickens back this week, which will be a welcome sight for this UGA passing attack. Overall, I believe Monken will give Daniels full reins of this offense and let them open things up a bit. I love the Daniels/Pickens combo on FD, especially with Pickens being an absurd $6700.

Others: Kenny Pickett (Pitt);  T. Gebbia (ORST)

Running Backs

Cameron Peoples (App St.):  DK 5300

Peoples received a nice bump in usage last week with Harrington out, and with Harrington out again this week, Peoples should continue to see a nice uptick in usage.  Peoples received 17 carries last week, turning in 67 yards and a touchdown.  Coastal does have a solid rush defense, however, Peoples comes in at a very reasonable price and is going to see an increase in touches again this week.  Solid value at his current price.

Rakeem Boyd (Arkansas):  DK 5000  FD 6500

Boyd will be playing in one of my favorite games to target this weekend.  This game between LSU and Arkansas should be an absolute track meet. Boyd averages around 20 touches per game, I do not see that changing this week.  LSU has one of the worst defenses in the country, and I expect the pace in which Arkansas plays to really stress this LSU defense out.  Boyd is the top rusher in this offense, he also is a threat in the receiving game.  Boyd is a really good value piece this weekend.

Others: Ja’Veon Marlow (Vandy); M. Williams Jr. (App St.)

Wide Receivers

Wan’Dale Robinson (Nebraska):  DK 5200

Robinson is a guy that Nebraska counts on to wear many hats in this offense. Last week he received 16 carries out of the backfield due to the injury Mills sustained, and was quite productive with those carries.  Mill is trending towards playing this week, so there is a chance that Robinson wont see those 16 carries again, however, he is till the top weapon in this offense and Nebraska will find any way possible to get the ball in his hands, as much as possible.  Robinson is one of my favorite value plays on the entire slate.

George Pickens (Georgia):  FD 6700

I have no idea why Pickens, who is one of the most talented wide receivers in the country, is priced as low as he is. I will gladly take the savings I get when rostering Pickens, and spend up in other areas.  I mentioned earlier that JT Daniels will get the start this week for the Bulldogs, and I believe this will help Pickens.  JT has a much stronger arm than Bennett and much more accurate arm than Mathis.  This will allow the Bulldogs to get the ball to Pickens on the perimeter when they find him in advantageous spots.  I love this value on FD, it really frees up your lineup construction.

Others: Whop Philyor (IND); Alec Pierce (CINCY); Mike Woods (ARK);  Cam Johnson (Vandy); EJ Williams (CLEM); T. Nixon (UCF)-GTD; J. Addison (PITT)
