Joey’s Sunday Night Football Throwdown Showdown KC@SEA

Hello DFS grinders and welcome back to my Sunday Night Football Showdown Throwdown article. We have a special Sunday Night Football article because there was no Thursday Night Football game. We’ve got an excited game tonight as the Chiefs try to clinch their number one seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. They will be traveling into a hostile environment to face the 12th man who their team is trying to make the playoffs. The Seahawks defense hasn’t been good as it has been in seasons past but this crowd noise has definitely been a factor as of late. We could see a very high score game tonight with these 2 great QBs, but could also see these running games being the factor tonight as well.

Weather: A small chance of rain but the wind should stay around 5 mph; mid 40s.

Vegas Insight: 56 game total with the Chiefs as a 1 point favorite

Studs/MVP Candidates

Whenever the high powered offense of the Chiefs are playing there will be plenty of studs to pay up for because of they are scoring 35.6 points per game the most in the league.

Patrick Mahomes: He is the top play on the board for obvious reasons. He is leading the number one offense in the league and continues to amaze week in and week out. Last week against the Chargers was his first week with under 20 points and only threw for 243 yards his worst of the year. Seattle has really struggled against QBs this year he is in a great bounce back spot to secure the divisional title and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Russell Wilson: Both these QBs are in great spots here. We’ve seen the opposing QB score more points than Mahomes a couple times this year and we could see it happen again tonight especially with his upside on the ground. The Chiefs rank 28th against the QB and is going up against one of the top fantasy QBs this season who loves playing in December.

Tyreek Hill: He is having a huge year topping 20 fantasy points in 7 games this year. He gets the Seahawks who ranks 29th defending the number 1 option on the team. Allowing 80.4 yards per game and he should easily be able to top that tonight. He is the top skill position player on the board here and the perfect pair to go with Mahomes.

Middle Tier

I love hammering the RBs tonight especially if we see Penny get ruled out.

Chris Carson: Carson was able to take advantage last game with Penny absent seeing back to back games with 22 rushes. Last game he was able to top 100 yards rushing for the 4th time this season. IF we see another game with Penny he is the lock of locks for me tonight and even might be my favorite CPT play.

Damien Williams: Williams has been great in the absence of Ware and Hunt. He has 19 and 30 in his first 2 starts and sees another great matchup here where the Seahawks are ranked 20th against the run. He doesn’t do all his work on the ground with both games seeing 5 plus targets gives him a great floor for only 7k.

Kickers/Defenses

Kickers are great sources of salary relief when there is a huge game total like like tonight with 56 game total.

I’m not really leaning on Defenses tonight but if you want to take a shot on one I would suggest Seattle.

Cheap Tier

Ed Dickson: We’ve got 2 playable $200 guy tonight. The Cheifs have been very poor against the TE. They are allowing the second most passes to TEs and the 2nd most receiving yards to TEs. At only $200 in a smash spot he could be in store for an amazing game with much needed salary relief. I could see him being a fun cpt play to hammer studs.

JD McKissic: He was only on the field for 3 offensive snaps, but if Penny is out again he should be seeing a bigger role this week. Brian Schottenheimer came out and said he wanted to give McKissic more run, which sounds amazing for a $200 punt to be able to fit in more studs. The Chiefs have given up the 3rd most fantasy points to running backs. The Seahawks are averaging 154 rushing yards per game which ranks first in the league. We could see McKissic put up similar numbers as what Smallwood did last week at $200.

Monkey Knife Fight Picks

Over/Under 2.22x: Mahomes over 300.5 passing yards and Wilson over 249.5 passing yards

Over/Under 2.29x: Carson over 78.5 rushing yards and Williams under 54.5 rushing yards

Rapidfire 20x: Passing yards: Mahomes, Receiving yards: Hill, Receptions: Hill, Tocuhdowns: Mahomes, Rushing Yards: Carson
