NFL DFS (Week 14) – Bales’ Top Stacks

Welcome to the Week 14 edition of Bales’ Top Stacks. In this article, I will outline my favorite NFL stacking options for this week. I will not be including the Thursday, Sunday, or Monday night games, although I will be including my favorite StatHero stack at the bottom of the article. Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers/Aaron Jones/Davante Adams

Rodgers continues to enjoy an elite bounce-back season for the Green Bay Packers. He’s thrown for 3,395 yards, 36 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions on 415 pass attempts through 12 games. He’s added 87 yards and a touchdown on the ground, as well. Rodgers boasts an elite 8.7% touchdown rate with a 1.0% interception rate. He’s posted 19+ fantasy points in 11 of his 12 games, including 25+ fantasy points in 4 of his last 5 games. Rodgers gets an elite matchup against the Detroit Lions, who are allowing 261.7 passing yards per game and 8.3 adjusted yards per attempt in 2020. They’ve given up 23 passing touchdowns, as well. The Packers are 7.5 point favorites in a game set at 55.5 points, and they boast the highest implied team total on the slate at 31.5 points.

Jones hasn’t necessarily been a workhorse in 2020, playing only 47% of the offensive snaps thus far. He’s recorded 754 yards and 7 touchdowns on 145 carries through 10 games, though. Jones also posters 36 receptions for 279 yards and 2 touchdowns on 48 targets this season. He leads Green Bay in red zone carries (26), turning them into 75 yards and 5 touchdowns. He’s also posted 5 receptions for 21 yards and 2 touchdowns on 10 red zone targets this season. Detroit’s struggled against the run in 2020, as well, allowing 133.9 rushing yards per game and 4.5 yards per carry. The Lions have given up a league-high 20 rushing touchdowns this season. Jones is one of two focal points of the offense, making him a near must-start in any Green Bay stack this weekend.

Adams struggled with injuries at times this season, playing 70% of Green Bay’s offensive snaps. He’s recorded 84 receptions for 1,029 yards and 13 touchdowns on 111 targets. Adams has seen a league-high 23 red zone targets, posting 18 receptions for 100 yards and 10 touchdowns. Adams owns 1,077 air yards with a 9.7 aDOT this season. Overall, he’s seen 31.6% of Green Bay’s air yards. He’s posted 30+ fantasy points in 5 of his 10 games, including a pair of games with 40+ fantasy points. Furthermore, he’s averaging 33.4 fantasy points per game on the road as opposed to 22.3 per game at home this season. Adams is the most expensive option for Green Bay, but he’s the focal point of this stack.

Tennessee Titans

Ryan Tannehill/Derrick Henry/A.J. Brown

Tannehill continues to produce for the Tennessee Titans. He boasts 2,997 yards and 26 touchdowns with 5 interceptions on 379 pass attempts through 12 games. He also owns 152 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground this season. Tannehill’s flashed elite upside, scoring 30+ fantasy points in 3 of 12 games. He gets an elite matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend. They’re giving up 279.1 passing yards per game and 8.4 adjusted yards per attempt. Jacksonville’s also allowed 26 passing touchdowns this season. The Titans are 7.5 point favorites in a game set at 52.5 points, giving them an implied team total of 30 points.

Henry’s played 64% of Tennessee’s offensive snaps this season. He’s recorded 1,317 yards and 12 touchdowns on 271 carries. He’s added 15 receptions for 102 yards on 27 targets, as well. Henry boasts elite upside, scoring 40+ fantasy points twice this season. He’s turned a league-high 50 red zone carries into 144 yards and 10 touchdowns. Jacksonville’s allowing 136.9 rushing yards per game and 4.4 yards per carry in 2020. They’ve given up 14 rushing touchdowns this season, as well. Henry makes an elite option, as Tennessee is likely to be running out the clock late in the game.

Brown leads the Tennessee receivers, playing 69% of the offensive snaps this season. He’s recorded 44 receptions for 725 yards and 8 touchdowns on 72 targets through 10 games. He owns double-digit fantasy points in 8 of his 10 games, flashing 30+ fantasy point upside. Brown’s been efficient in the red zone, posting 7 receptions for 84 yards and 5 touchdowns on 10 targets. He’s seen 828 air yards with an 11.5 aDOT, accounting for 27.9% of Tennessee’s air yards this season. Similar to Henry, Brown boasts elite upside, although Corey Davis can also be considered in this stack.

New York Giants

Daniel Jones/Wayne Gallman/Evan Engram

Jones is expected to return to action this weekend. He’s thrown for 2,335 yards and 8 touchdowns with 9 interceptions on 361 pass attempts through 11 games. He boasts 403 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground, adding to his upside. Surprisingly, he’s only posted 20+ fantasy points twice this season, although they were both in his lasts 5 games. Jones gets an interesting matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, who are allowing 236.9 passing yards per game and 6.8 adjusted yards per attempt. They’ve given up 20 passing touchdowns this season, though. The New York Giants are 1.5 point underdogs in a game set at 45 points, and they own an implied team total of 21.8 points this weekend.

Gallman’s quietly found success, playing only 35% of the offensive snaps this season. He’s recorded 504 yards and 6 touchdowns on 109 carries. He owns 16 receptions for 72 yards on 21 targets in 2020, as well. Gallman’s taken over as the lead back because of injuries, scoring 13+ fantasy points in each of his last 6 games. In limited snaps, he’s seen a team-high 17 red zone carries, recording 34 yards and 6 touchdowns. Arizona’s struggled against the run this season, allowing 123.0 yards per game and 4.5 yards per carry. They’ve only given up 11 rushing touchdowns in 2020, though. Gallman’s versatility allows him to find snaps regardless of game script, making him an elite option in a New York stack.

Engram’s seen mixed results in 2020, playing 83% of New York’s offensive snaps. He’s posted 48 receptions for 508 yards and 2 touchdowns on 84 targets. He recorded his best game of the season only a couple of weeks ago, scoring 20.9 fantasy points against the Cincinnati Bengals. Engram’s turned a team-high 11 red zone targets into 5 receptions for 39 yards and 1 touchdown. He recorded 563 air yards with a 6.7 aDOT in 2020. Overall, he boasts 20.9% of New York’s air yards. Engram certainly comes with risk, but he’s a high upside option at a weak position, who will continue to see a large target share.
