NFL DFS Week 2 – Frosty’s Yahoo! Cash Game Targets

What is going on Karma Nation! Most of you might know me as the ‘soccer guy’ but I am actually play pretty high volume when it comes to MLB and NFL. I focus a lot on cash games but I love the smaller sites. Last year I was in the NFL Championship on FantasyDraft and was just a few points away from a HUGE payday (Thank you for the 0 Blake Jarwin).

Every week I will be writing my favorite Yahoo! Cash plays for the week. I will provide a top cash play, a secondary cash play, and a GPP pivot. The format will be very similar to how I write the soccer Hat-Trick. I will try to not cite any stats, but if you want to know where I get my stats from check our proprietary NFL Data Dashboard @ DFSKarma.com. While you are on our website, check out all of our different packages and use promocode QUARTERBACK to receive an additional 20% off!

Quarterback

Top Cash Play: My secondary cash QB has become my first cash option this week. I loved Lamar Jackson week 1 and I absolutely love him for week 2. He went from $26 to $31 but it was definitely not enough of a price bump. I loved him week 1 because of his running ability and HE DID NOT RUN! Imagine if he does. Man, he is going to crush.

Secondary Cash: I really want to spend up for Patrick Mahomes, but at $10 more than Lamar it seems irresponsible to do it. If you have the extra money, I have 0 issues with him.

Top GPP Play: My personal favorite GPP option for this week is Andy Dalton for a mere $25. Last week he had the most pass attempts of his career and they weren’t even trailing by a lot! He gets a good match up against the 49ers and I am expecting him to let the ball fly. Extra bump if Mixon sits.

Running Back

Top Cash Play: I wish I could just write in big bold letters with a sharpie Alvin Kamara. If he gets 20+ touches you know he will be one of the highest scoring players in the week. He is just absolutely electrifying and gets a nice match up against the Rams. CMC just crushed the Rams and Kamara is as good, if not better.

Secondary Cash: In the same game, I will be having a lot of Todd Gurley shares in my Yahoo! lineups. He should NOT be only 9% of your salary. He is extremely cheap and has a ton of upside.

Top GPP play: I am not sure how popular is Austin Ekeler going to be but he has the upside of the world, especially with the injuries to Hunter and Mike Williams. He should see anywhere from 6-10 targets, that alone is enough to warrant a spot in your rosters.

Wide Receiver

Top Cash Play: I am expecting a lot of the mid range WR to be pretty popular. Starting with Cooper Kupp for $22 who is in a prime position to crush this week. In GPP’s I absolutely love the idea of leveraging his ownership by playing Brandin Cooks.

Secondary Cash: Tyrelle Williams look like the WR1 that AB was supposed to be. He should be the most popular ‘run it back’ option to the KC stack.

Top GPP play: Travis Benjamin for the min price LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO! With the Hunter and Williams injuries he should run more routes and he is going to see more targets. He is always been a boom or bust option, but man he has some nice boom today.

Tight End

Top Cash Play: Remember when Engram was my top cash play? Well….here we go again. Engram is now playing without Sterling Shepard and he is going to see massive targets. I will not be surprised if he ends up being the player with the most targets this week.

Secondary Cash: Even though Engram is my favorite cash play, we may need to go down to Waller $13 and eat the chalk. He was highly involved in the passing game and now he plays in an awesome game environment. Sneaky GPP play will be to play Engram AND Waller.

Top GPP Play: Everyone was extremely high on Vance McDonald coming into the season and everyone will be off him just because of one game. Awesome GPP play.

For defense I am still not sure if I am spending up or down. It is definitely going to depend on roster construction but I am probably spending all the way down to the bills at $13 or all the way up to the Patriots.
