What Is Jock MKT?

The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for this week.

Week 10 Results

Terry McLaurin

Highest Potential Bid: $6.00

Break-Even Point: 28

McLaurin suffered an injury early in this game, although he ended up playing 96% of the offensive snaps. Ultimately, he ended with 11.9 fantasy points, ranking 52nd in the market. We’d have lost $3.00 per share of McLaurin, as he ended up worth $3.00.

Mike Evans

Highest Potential Bid: $6.00

Break-Even Point: 28

The entire Tampa Bay Bucs offense struggled in what should’ve been an elite matchup. Evans ended with 14.2 fantasy points, ranking 42nd on the slate. He finished being worth $4.00, losing us $2.00 per share this weekend.

Coming off of a big week, we struggled quite a bit. McLaurin and Evans would’ve lost $5.00 per equal share of them at our highest potential bid. Fortunately, McLaurin and Evans ended the IPO at $5.00 and $6.09, meaning we’d only have lost $2.00 per share of McLaurin, as Evans ended higher than the max bid.

Week 11 Buys

CeeDee Lamb

Highest Potential Bid: $7.25

Break-Even Point: 21

If you’re new to Jock MKT, you may be struggling to read what’s listed below the Lamb recommendations. Essentially, I’m willing to spend up to $7.25 per share for Lamb. He needs to finish 21st in the field for me to make my money back with the opportunity for me to make more if he finishes higher.

For example, if I buy 1 share of Lamb at $7.25 and he finishes 21st in this field, I make my $7.25 back. If he finishes 1st, I win $25 (profit $17.75). If he finishes last, I win $1 (lose $6.25). It’s that simple.

We had another somewhat odd week last week with only 2 quarterbacks (Patrick Mahomes – first, Dak Prescott – sixth) finishing in the top-10. The remaining 8 players were split evenly between running backs and wide receivers. Darrel Williams and Rhamondre Stevenson finished third and fourth, showing that you can get cheaper options in the top-10.

Lamb’s performed well throughout the 2021 season. Through 9 games, he’s posted 47 receptions for 726 yards and 6 touchdowns on 73 targets. Surprisingly, Lamb’s scored single-digit fantasy points in 3 of his 9 games, although he’s also flashed elite upside. He’s posted 26+ fantasy points in 3 games, including a 39.1 fantasy point performance against the New England Patriots.

Lamb gets a great matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend. They’re allowing 258.6 passing yards per game and 8.0 adjusted yards per attempt this season. Kansas City’s given up 18 passing touchdowns with a 5.4% passing touchdown rate in 2021, as well.

Most importantly, the Chiefs are a defense that’s struggled with air yards and yards after the catch. They’ve given up 1,309 air yards and 1,369 yards after the catch in 2021. Overall, they rank in the bottom-five of the NFL in airYAC allowed (2,678) this season.

Lamb leads the Dallas Cowboys, recording 32.1% of the team’s air yards. He owns a 12.1 aDOT, as well. Furthermore, Lamb leads the team with 6.2 yards after the catch per reception in 2021. He also shifted more in the slot last week, adding to his overall upside.

One of the key aspects of this game is that Amari Cooper has already been ruled out. Lamb should take on a larger role in the offense, although he was going to make his way into this article regardless of Cooper’s status this weekend. His price could increase a bit because of the new potential role, but Lamb comes with as much upside as any player on this slate.

Deebo Samuel

Highest Potential Bid: $5.50

Break-Even Point: 31

Samuel is in the midst of a breakout season for the San Francisco 49ers. He’s posted 54 receptions for 979 yards and 5 touchdowns on 86 targets through 9 games. Samuel also added 58 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground this season. He’s scored double-digit fantasy points in 9 of 9 games this season, including a trio of games with 30+ fantasy points.

Samuel gets an outstanding matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend. They’ve struggled in 2021, allowing 260.4 passing yards per game and 8.2 adjusted yards per attempt. Jacksonville’s only given up 11 passing touchdowns with a 3.6% passing touchdown rate this season, though.

Jacksonville’s struggled significantly more with air yards than yards after the catch this season. Samuel’s one of the best receivers in the NFL with the ball in his hands, as he’s averaging 9.8 yards after the catch per reception this season. He’s seen a team-high 34.5% of San Francisco’s air yards, although his aDOT is only 8.6. Essentially, Samuel boasts several ways to beat defenses, and the Jaguars aren’t a defense that is the exception.

Samuel saw 5 carries in a blowout of the Los Angeles Rams last week, recording 36 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground. With Eli Mitchell unlikely to play this weekend, Samuel could see a few carries again this weekend. Jacksonville doesn’t boast the type of defense that will slow Samuel down through the air, making him that much more dangerous this week.
