What Is Jock MKT?

The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for this week.

Week 15 Results

Diontae Johnson

Highest Potential Bid: $6.50

Break-Even Point: 25

Johnson struggled in a plus matchup against the Tennessee Titans last week. He posted only 9.8 fantasy points, and he finished 57th on the slate. He was worth only $2.58 on the market, losing us $3.92 per share on the max bid.

Brandon Aiyuk

Highest Potential Bid: $4.50

Break-Even Point: 38

Aiyuk also flopped in a great matchup last week. He recorded only 4.6 fantasy points, finishing 88th on the market. He was worth only $1, and we would’ve lost $3.50 per share at his max bid.

It was a terrible week, as we would’ve lost $6.08 per equal share of Johnson and Aiyuk. Luckily, both players ended the IPO with higher costs than our max bid, so we wouldn’t have got shares of either of them.

Week 16 Buys

Justin Jefferson

Highest Potential Bid: $7.00

Break-Even Point: 23

If you’re new to Jock MKT, you may be struggling to read what’s listed below the Jefferson recommendations. Essentially, I’m willing to spend up to $7.00 per share for Jefferson. He needs to finish 23rd in the field for me to make my money back with the opportunity for me to make more if he finishes higher.

For example, if I buy 1 share of Jefferson at $7.00 and he finishes 23rd in this field, I make my $7.00 back. If he finishes 1st, I win $25 (profit $18.00). If he finishes last, I win $1 (lose $6.00). It’s that simple.

Jefferson’s seen mixed results throughout the 2021 season. He’s posted 89 receptions for 1,335 yards and 9 touchdowns on 137 targets through 14 games. Jefferson’s consistently posted double-digit fantasy points throughout the season. He’s struggled a surprising amount without Adam Thielen in the lineup, but he still boasts elite upside.

Jefferson gets a matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. They’re allowing 238.4 passing yards per game and 6.2 adjusted yards per attempt this season. Los Angeles’ only allowed 14 passing touchdowns with a 2.7% passing touchdown rate this season.

The key to this play is the Rams’ struggles after the catch, though. They’ve allowed the seventh-most yards after the catch (1,757) in the NFL this season. Los Angeles’ given up 3,469 airYAC in 2021.

Jefferson’s seen a league-high 45.2% of Minnesota’s air yards this season. He’s seen 1,699 air yards with a dominant 12.4 aDOT in 2021. Jefferson’s also averaging 4.9 yards after the catch per reception, which is higher than the expectation.

Jefferson will continue to be a dominant option for the Vikings. They should be throwing the ball throughout this game, and the young receiver boasts the abilities that Los Angeles struggles against. He certainly comes with risk, especially because he won’t come cheap, but Jefferson has the ability to lead the slate in scoring.

Hunter Renfrow

Highest Potential Bid: $4.75

Break-Even Point: 36

Renfrow’s found plenty of success in a massive role for the Las Vegas Raiders this season. He boasts 89 receptions for 909 yards and 5 touchdowns on 111 targets over 14 games. He’s coming off of a bad game, but Renfrow found tremendous success in three games prior with Darren Waller injured.

Renfrow gets a tougher matchup against the Denver Broncos this week. They’re only allowing 212.7 passing yards per game and 6.5 adjusted yards per attempt. Denver’s only allowed 17 passing touchdowns with a 3.7% passing touchdown rate in 2021.

The Broncos have performed well in terms of airYAC this season, allowing only 3,193 throughout the season. They’ve struggled a bit more with yards after the catch (1,488), although they’ve performed well in this area.

Renfrow’s only seen 677 air yards with a 6.1 aDOT. He’s totaled 16.1% of Las Vegas’ air yards in 2021. Renfrow’s found more success after the catch, averaging 5 yards after the catch per reception this season. It’s slightly higher than expected.

Generally, I make these plays based on specific matchups. That isn’t the case here. Renfrow should continue to see a massive target share with Waller unlikely to play. He comes with tremendous upside, but he isn’t priced like it. The matchup is difficult, but Renfrow is a solid option for this price.
