Welcome to our NFL Jock MKT Plays for Week 17. Below I’ll outline two of my favorite Jock MKT buys for this weekend.
What Is Jock MKT?
The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for this week.

Week 16 Results
Justin Jefferson
Highest Potential Bid: $7.00
Break-Even Point: 23
Jefferson looked great last week, posting 8 receptions for 116 yards on 12 targets against the Los Angeles Rams. He posted 22.6 fantasy points and ended the slate worth $8.25. We’d have made $1.25 on our max bid.
Hunter Renfrow
Highest Potential Bid: $4.75
Break-Even Point: 36
Renfrow performed well in Week 16, although he struggled with volume. He recorded 3 receptions for 40 yards and 1 touchdown on only 3 targets. Renfrow posted 13 fantasy points, ending the slate worth $3.10. We’d have lost $1.60 per share on our max bid.
We were in a bit of an odd spot last week. Both of these players featured max IPOs higher than what we were willing to pay. Ultimately, this would’ve been a break-even week for this article.
Week 17 Buys
AJ Brown
Highest Potential Bid: $6.34
Break-Even Point: 26
If you’re new to Jock MKT, you may be struggling to read what’s listed below the Brown recommendations. Essentially, I’m willing to spend up to $6.34 per share for Brown. He needs to finish 26th in the field for me to make my money back with the opportunity for me to make more if he finishes higher.
For example, if I buy 1 share of Brown at $6.34 and he finishes 26th in this field, I make my $6.34 back. If he finishes 1st, I win $25 (profit $18.66). If he finishes last, I win $1 (lose $5.34). It’s that simple.
Brown’s seen plenty of ups and downs throughout an injury-filled 2021 season. He’s posted 57 receptions for 760 yards and 4 touchdowns on 94 targets through 11 games. Brown’s been as inconsistent as anyone in the NFL, posting single-digit fantasy points in over half of his games. With that being said, he’s also posted 30+ fantasy points in three games this season.
Brown gets a great matchup against the Miami Dolphins, who’ve struggled defensively at times in 2021. They’re only allowing 234.4 passing yards per game and 6.6 adjusted yards per game. They’ve also held their opponents to only 20 passing touchdowns with a 3.6% passing touchdown rate.
With that being said, the Dolphins allowed 2,062 air yards and 1,804 yards after the catch (YAC) this season. Overall, Miami’s allowed the ninth-most airYAC (3,866) in the NFL this season.
Brown saw a massive role in the offense with Julio Jones out last week. He saw 80.3% of the Tennessee Titans’ air yards in Week 16, which led the NFL by a wide margin. In that game, he saw 202 air yards with a 12.6 aDOT. Brown only averaged 2 YAC per reception in that game, but he’s flashed more throughout his career.
He should be locked into another massive role for Tennessee. Jones wasn’t activated off of the Covid list on Saturday, meaning he’s likely out. Brown can take advantage of this matchup, and he comes with as much upside as any player on this slate.
Jaylen Waddle
Highest Potential Bid: $5.84
Break-Even Point: 29
Waddle’s in the midst of an outstanding rookie season for the Miami Dolphins. He boasts 96 receptions for 941 yards and 5 touchdowns on 127 targets through 14 games. He owns one rushing touchdown as well. Waddle continues to play at an elite level in recent games. He’s posted 18+ fantasy points in four consecutive games, flashing 30+ fantasy point upside.
Waddle gets a good matchup against the Tennessee Titans this week. They’re allowing 246.5 passing yards per game and 6.7 adjusted yards per attempt this season. They’ve also given up 21 passing touchdowns with a 3.8% passing touchdown rate in 2021.
The Titans have struggled with air yards and YAC this season. They’ve given up 1,975 air yards and 1,928 YAC thus far. Tennessee’s allowed the eighth-most airYAC (3,903) in the NFL in 2021.
Waddle’s seen 857 air yards with a 6.8 aDOT this season. He’s recorded 22.3% of Miami’s air yards thus far. Waddle also boasts YAC potential, as he’s averaging 4.6 YAC per reception in 2021.
His role in the Miami offense is growing, as he’s seen double-digit targets in each of his last three games. Waddle boasts the potential to post 30+ fantasy points, and he should continue to be used as a workhorse for Miami. He won’t be as expensive as some of the other options, but he’ll be given all of the opportunities possible to perform in this game.
