What Is Jock MKT?

The simplest way to outline this is daily fantasy sports meets the stock market. You’ll purchase shares of players for varying amounts, depending on how much others are willing to pay for them during the IPO. Once the Live Trading starts, you can buy players that others want to sell or sell your players during the game. Once all of the games have ended, you will receive money based on how well your player performs compared to the field on the Jock MKT app for this week.

Week 2 Results

Lamar Jackson

Highest Potential Bid: $10

Break-Even Point: 12

Jackson exceeded expectations, ranking second on the entire slate. He ended up scoring 35.26 fantasy points, ranking behind only Cooper Kupp in Week 2. Jackson’s shares ended worth $20, giving us $10 worth of profit if he was acquired for $10.

Josh Allen

Highest Potential Bid: $9.50

Break-Even Point: 13

Allen disappointed in a blowout of the Miami Dolphins last week. Simply put, he wasn’t needed, scoring only 16.66 fantasy points. He finished 43rd on the slate between Nick Chubb and Ryan Tannehill. Ultimately, he was worth $3.80 at the end of the slate, meaning we would’ve lost $5.70 per share if he was acquired for the $9.50 listed.

Overall, we’d profit $4.30 per equal shares of Jackson and Allen from last weeks article.

Week 3 Buys

Lamar Jackson

Highest Potential Bid: $10

Break-Even Point: 12

If you’re new to Jock MKT, you may be struggling to read what’s listed below the Jackson recommendations. Essentially, I’m willing to spend up to $10 per share for Jackson. He needs to finish 12th in the field for me to make my money back with the opportunity for me to make more if he finishes higher.

For example, if I buy 1 share of Jackson at $10 and he finishes 12th in this field, I make my $10 back. If he finishes 1st, I win $25 (profit $15). If he finishes last, I win $1 (lose $9). It’s that simple.

I continue to put a premium on quarterbacks and wide receivers, who once again accounted for the majority of the top plays in Week 2. Quaterbacks and receivers accounted for 12 of the top 13 players last week with Travis Kelce being the only outlier. I’m also looking for the rushing floor of someone like Jackson.

Jackson’s the focal point of the Baltimore Ravens offense. Through 2 games, he’s thrown for 474 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. More importantly, he boasts 193 yards and 2 touchdowns on 28 carries. He boasts as much rushing potential as the majority of running backs in the NFL while also boasting tremendous passing upside.

Jackson gets an interesting matchup against the Detroit Lions this week. They’ve given up 41 and 35 points to the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers this season. The Ravens are -7.5 favorites in a game set at 50 points, giving them an implied team total north of 28 this week. A key to this play is that Baltimore will be without several players this weekend, suggesting this game could stay closer than Vegas believes. If that happens, the Detroit defense doesn’t have anyone to slow Jackson down, and he could lead the slate in fantasy points.

Cooper Kupp

Highest Potential Bid: $9

Break-Even Point: 14

Kupp’s featured in an elite role with Matthew Stafford at quarterback, and he’s found plenty of success early this season. He’s recorded 16 receptions for 271 yards and 3 touchdowns on 21 targets this season. He’s been consistent in limited games, as well, posting 7+ receptions with 100+ yards and 1+ touchdown in each game.

Kupp gets a great matchup against the Tampa Bay Bucaneers this week. The Bucs feature arguably the best run defense in the NFL, suggesting Los Angeles could throw more this week than previous ones. It’s clear that Kupp is Stafford’s favorite option, and he could be in line for 15+ targets if Stafford is forced to throw the ball 40+ times

Kupp ranks fifth in the NFL with 4 red zone targets, posting 3 receptions for 32 yards and 2 touchdowns, this season. He’s also seen 2 targets inside-the-10 in 2021. He’ll continue to be a focal point of the red zone offense, giving him ample opportunities for touchdowns.

Normally, I focus heavier on quarterbacks in the Cash Market, but Kupp currently looks undervalued. People haven’t caught on that he could end the season as a top-5 fantasy option in this offense. Early in the season is the time to take advantage of that. His target share also adds to his floor this week, making him safer than some of the other top receivers.
