Quarterbacks:

QB1: This SEA/DAL game will be a complete shootout. I want one of these QBs in cash, and both have very similar upsides. Russell Wilson has been absolutely slinging the ball and Chris Carson’s improved pass catching helps open up the field more for Wilson and this has been great for him so far. This game screams a shootout with it’s high 55.5 O/U, and I want as many pieces as possible here. Both these teams have put up godly numbers through two weeks and have played with insane pace, I wouldn’t be surprised if we were to see a 70+ point game here (BOLD). Dak Prescott “stole” three of Elliot’s TDs last week, and although that won’t happen every week, Seattle does rank in the top 5 against the run- so Prescott will have to keep the defense honest to try to get Zeke going as well, if Seattle can stop him. This could mean a huge receiving day for Zeke, and more yards for Prescott. The other QB I would want to play in cash if it wasn’t one of these QBs is my favorite player Kyler Murray. Murray has shown his wheels this season and got me in the cash last week, and this week he gets an even better matchup vs the Lions. This game has an over under of 54, and I expect this to be a shootout as well. Murray should thrive in this game environment and his rushing floor is always safe for cash games.

QB2/Value/GPP: Josh Allen will always be in play for me because in some ways his upside & floor is very similar to Kyler Murray’s. He always has the rushing floor, and he’s flashed good chemistry with his receivers to start the season. He gets a decent matchup vs the Rams and this should be a competitive game, which should showcase Allen’s arm & wheels, (1st in passing yards per game, 2nd in passing TDs, 5th in passing attempts, 4th in rushing yards per game). Another QB that has this rushing floor is Cam Newton. I am really excited to toss him in my GPPs this week because Bill has really utilized him well so far and put him in advantageous spots and formations. Newton has thrived so far and has seen double digit carries and a pair of touchdowns in both games played so far this season. This matchup vs the Raiders shouldn’t be difficult at all. Love Cam here.

Running Backs:

Ezekiel Elliott takes over as the highest priced RB on the slate as CMC is on the IR. Elliott gets a very tough matchup vs the Seattle defense who is ranked top 5 in the league vs the run so far. However, those two games have been against NE and ATL. None of their RB talents are even close to what Zeke is, and this could be a great spot if you can afford him. It’s good to get more pieces to this game as well, Zeke and his 90% snap share will definitely be involved in this shootout. A pivot I like here is Dalvin Cook, who gets a great matchup vs the Titans who gave up 165 yards on the ground to JAX last week. Cook hasn’t seen his normal volume due to the game script Minnesota has been in, as they’ve been stuck trying to catch up every game. He could be primed for a solid day if the Vikings can get ahead early .

If you choose to fade the top RBs, there is great value in Chris Carson, Miles Sanders, Jonathan Taylor, Kenyan Drake, Mike Davis, Devin Singletary, and Jerrick McKinnon.

Carson is a great GPP RB, this could be a great game environment as well if these two teams keep going back and forth, Carson will stumble his way to atleast a goal line touch. He’s been more involved in the passing game which I am very happy about as well, and I think he could go underowned this week.

Miles Sanders will probably end up being chalk this week along with Jonathan Taylor, as both get very good matchups vs the Bengals and Jets. Both received over 20 touches last week and scored touchdowns, and I can see something similar this week, Jets and Bengals both rank in the bottom of the league vs RBs.

Drake is intriguing because he hasn’t had that pop off game yet and his touches and volume have been there. There is going to be a game where he scores 2 touchdowns and goes for a 100 total yards, and this is the game environment we want. Will it happen here? Who knows, but he is in the best possible spot for that to happen here.

Davis, Singletary and McKinnon all get injury boosts and will all be in spots where they should be forced to see volume. They are on the cheaper side and I wouldn’t mind playing any of them this week. I lean towards McKinnon.

Wide Receivers:

Obviously there are a ton of WRs you can play, but I’ll go over my top 5 this week, 2 top tier, 2 mid tier and one low owned GPP play.

Top Tier-

DeAndre Hopkins- I love the idea of a Murray/Hopkins/Drake 3 man stack here. This should be a great game for Arizona to get three straight wins. Hopkins saw 16 targets in week 1 and 9 targets in week 2. Detroit won’t be able to stop DHop, they can only wish to contain him.

Amari Cooper- I want as many pieces to this SEA/DAL game as possible, and Seattle has struggled in the secondary so far. Cooper could be primed for a HUGE game here and I will be bold and say he is going for 8/120/1 this week.

Mid Tier-

Tyler Lockett/DK Metcalf- Now for my SEA exposure. Love this duo, and in a shootout I expect both these guys to get over 8 targets this week. The best part is they aren’t very expensive, so even if they don’t find the endzone this week, they should be able to hit value.

Ceedee Lamb- More DAL/SEA exposure, yay! We want this young rook who has been solid to start the season operating as Dallas’s #3 receiver.

Low owned GPP Play-

TY Hilton- Grandma narrative play… Hilton has said he hasn’t been playing like himself, his grandma said he isn’t “recognizable” and that he needs to start playing better. It is tough with Rivers who struggles to sling the ball downfield but this should be a good matchup vs the Jets for Hilton to get it going. Low owned dart here .

That’ll be it for me for the third ever NFL DFS Game Theory! We went over QB, RB, and WR, and I included my game stacks in the table above. Good luck this weekend!
