Using Age & Targets To Predict The Next Elite Wide Receiver
The age distribution shows that wide receivers hit their prime during ages 25 & 26. Based on this – I took a look at all 24 year old receivers & their 2018 fantasy stats to see if I could predict who will become elite in 2019. After running a correlation analysis I found that targets and fantasy points are directly correlated with a .742 R squared value – meaning more targets leads to more fantasy points. Based on this analysis expect Tyler Boyd, Amari Cooper, & Will Fuller V to take a leap into the premier class of Wide Receivers in 2019.
