2019 Memorial – Trevis’ PGA Punt Plays

Bet on MyBookie

For those of you new to the plethora of content DFSKarma.com puts out on a daily/weekly basis, this is my weekly PGA article that focuses on the cheapos no one else dare write about. It had massive success last year with my getting sub $7K (DK) golfers finishing top 10 at less than 1% ownership on an almost weekly basis. Well, I’m bringing it back this year with the same concept. My cap this year is $7300 in DraftKings pricing (but you can still play them on FanDuel, FantasyDraft, or Yahoo). I focus on recent form and course history heavily to spit out my favorite 5 golfers from within that range.

GREAT NEWS! We have officially partnered with the premier PGA DFS data services of Fantasy National

That being said, my PGA Punt Plays article looks a little different (for the better) moving forward. You will see below that I have highlighted 5 players within Fantasy National within my price range of $7300 and below.

2019 Memorial

This event is played at the Muirfield Village in Dublin, OH. It is a Par 72 at 7,392 yards with Bentgrass greens.

Recent Form

Peter Ukulele (proj 9.8% ownership) is the highest rated player in my Punt Play salary range. He comes in at 8th overall in total strokes gained. His worst stats are in bentgrass putting, but even then, they are still not too shabby. Love me some Ukulele this week.

David Lingmerth (proj 6.25% ownership) is the highest ranked Punt this week in regard to his short game and putting on bentgrass. His doesn’t bomb well with an 81st SG: OTT rating, but his solid putting should def keep him above the cut line Friday.

Back to Back weeks writing up Joaquin (proj 5.2% ownership) who finished a respectable 37th place last week for us. This week I think he makes the cut again and also finishes outside the Top 20.

Vegas (proj 4.9% ownership) almost was left off the article, take that as you want. He is 22nd overall in total strokes gained and doesn’t have a single stat that becomes worrisome.

Ben’s Uncle Beau (proj 1.45% ownership) on the other hand has a not-too-pleasant recent form as ALL of his stats are outside the Top 28, with 3 of them being in the red. He is dirt cheap though…

Patty P (proj 2.0% ownership) SZN! I’ll always write up my Punt Play fav when he cracks the Top 40 in total strokes gained in my model. This week he is 34th and actually has THREE stats inside the Top 12! His bentgrass putting though is hot garbage.

Tournament History

Lingmerth actually took down the Memorial back in 2015. Since then, he has 3 straight Top 30 finishes. This man is only $6300 people!!!

Ukulele finished 5th here last year after a solid 25th showing the year prior. I think he gets in Top 25 again this week.

Joaquin has only appeared here last year, but jumped on the scene with a massive 6th place finish. I’d put him inside the Top 30 this week.

Uncle Beau had a lackluster showing last year with a 44th place finish. I will have very minimal exposure to him this week.

Patty P makes the cut at the Memorial…and that’s pretty much it. Don’t expect flashiness from him this week, but do expect him to be playing on Saturday.

Now you see why Vegas almost missed the cut on this article. One MC then a 40th finish. I’d like him more at $6800, but at $7200 I’m still plugging him in once or twice.
