Last Week Punt Plays Recap
2020 WGC Mexico Championship
We travel this week to the Club De Golf Chapultepec in Mexico City, Mexico. This course will play as a Par 71 at 7345 and has Poa Annua greens. This is also a NO CUT event. So don’t go crazy with that bankroll.
Ortiz is back this week after a 26th place Punt finish on Sunday. He is dirt cheap in a no cut event and is ranked 12th overall in my model.
Lee Westwood was a Punt for me here last year as well. His worst stat is 30th in SG: P. In a no-cut, I’ll take that every time.
Kokrak is also great across the board with his worst stat being 25th overall in both SG and ARG. I really like him this week.
Sung Kang does pretty good (recently) on Poa. Not too worried about his OTT numbers being less than stellar.
The ONLY time I will roster Na in DFS is a no-cut as he is blacklisted for me everywhere else. He ranks 1st overall in SG and ARG. Plug him.
Near minimum salary in a no cut event and 32nd overall in my model. I’ll take a dip in the Campillo pool.
This event only has the most recent 3 years played at this course. On top of that, Kang, Kokrak, and Ortiz did not compete here any of the last 3 years.
Lee Westwood finished 33rd after I wrote him up last year. I expect another Top 40 performance this week.
When Na can’t possibly be cut, he can do things like finish in the Top 40.
Campillo missed last year but finished a respectable 27th here in 2018. SUPER CHEAP YA’LL.
