MMA Betting (Fight Night 136) – Bales Brothers’ MyBookie Bets
Welcome to our MMA sports betting picks! In this article, Jason and Justin Bales will be outlining a few of their favorite MMA betting picks for the Fight Night 136 card this weekend! For this article, we will be using odds from MyBookie.today. We hope you enjoy!
Jan Blachowicz (+110)
This is truly such an odd fight in 2018. Jan Blachowicz was a top prospect after knocking out Ilir Latifi before losing four of his next five fights. He lost to top-level talent – Jimi Manuwa, Corey Anderson, Alexander Gustafsson, and Patrick Cummins – in those fights. He is now ranked as the fourth overall light heavyweight after three consecutive wins, including an avenged loss against Manuwa. He’ll fight Nikita Krylov, who went 5-1 in his last six UFC fights before leaving the promotion on his own. Since then, Krylov has won four consecutive fights. Krylov is a pure finisher, failing to go the distance in any of his 29 fights. If he cannot find the finish, he generally gasses, as he has never won a fight after the second round. Blachowicz is an extremely durable fighter, only being finished in two of his 29 fights. He also hasn’t been finished since 2011. The longer this fight goes on, the more it favors Blachowicz. This fight should be even odds, and I have a slight lean towards Blachowicz.

CB Dollaway (+135)
Do you trust Dollaway’s chin? If so, bet the house on him. I, personally, do not. Dollaway is the more talented fighter, as Khalid Murtazaliev is a relatively raw fighter. He comes with tremendous power, but has struggled against opponents that fight with range. Dollaway’s wrestling background could also pose a problem for him, as Murtazaliev has gassed at times in his career. If Dollaway can utilize his skill-set to sap Murtazaliev and stay out of range for his power strikes, this will be his fight to lose. If not, Dollaway will suffer another devastating knockout loss. It’s a bit odd that the fighter that potentially has the better overall skill-set is the underdog, but his chin is an obvious liability at this point.

Aleksei Oleinik (+135)
Mark Hunt is the certified UFC gatekeeper. He has been keeping unworthy fighters out of the top five for years now, but he will never fight for the UFC heavyweight championship again. To be blunt, he just is not good enough. Aleksei Oleinik, on the other hand, has been fighting professional since what seems like the 1800s. He has over 60 professional fights, but even so, he does not frequently get knocked out. Recently, against Curtis Blaydes, he was forced to stop fighting due to doctor’s interference. Oleinik is on an upward swing, while Hunt is on a downward swing. If this fight stays standing, it is likely that Hunt finds the knockout. However, if Oleinik can get Hunt to the ground, something that Blaydes did rather easily, he should be able to force him to submit. For the odds, Oleinik is worth a shot. This fight should be closer to even.
