Dave’s Drivers to Watch – Nascar DFS – Food City 500

This week we head to Bristol. It’s a half mile, high banked oval. This week I’m in Texas with family for my cousin’s wedding. I’m going to try to make this straight to the point so I can go visit. This week we need 2-3 dominators on draftkings. One driver had a bad qualifying lap and will probably have to act as one dominator at his price along with giving us place differential. On Fanduel, we want drivers that will run all the laps and finish closer to the front.

Sunday Morning update: As I am building lineups this morning I find myself landing on Chase Elliott as a potential dominator more the Ryan Blaney because of cost. I also forgot to put Ricky Stenhouse Jr as a “value” but he’s a good play today.

Kyle Busch (Dk $12,900 FD $15,000)

Kyle is the top option for our high valued drivers this week. He starts 17th and offers us place differential along with possible dominator points. He has won 2 of the last 4 races here. He also has a tendency to wreck if he doesn’t win. It will be difficult, especially on fanduel to get him in your cash games but he has the potential to run up front and dominate a portion of this race and possibly win. He also was 6th in best 30 lap average speed in final practice.

Ryan Blaney (DK $10,300 FD $11,400)

Ryan Blaney has been fast all weekend. He has the possibility of getting up front early and dominating this race. He was second fastest in 15 and 20 lap speed in practice and 9th in 30 lap. He accumulated dominator points in both races here last season. He starts 3rd and will be a contender for the win tomorrow.

Kyle Larson ( Dk $9,500 FD $13,000)

After last weeks blown tire, I hope this scares people off Larson this week. On draftkings, Larson is underpriced. He starts 16th. In the last four races he has finished 2nd, 2nd, 9th and 6th. He also accumulated dominator points in three of those four races. He has the best driver rating over that time at Bristol as well. Larson didn’t have top speed in practice but if that high line comes in, you will find him up there.

Clint Bowyer (Dk $8,600 FD $ 11,000)

Clint had top 4 speed in 15, 20 and 30 lap speed in final practice. He has 3 top 10s in the last four races here. He accumulated dominator points in one of those races. Clint starts 8th and could easily stay in or around that position and has the long-range speed to possibly contend to win if we get a long green flag run.

Jimmie Johnson (DK $8,000 FD $9,700)

I believe this is the first time 7 time has made it into my write up. As weird as it is to say, he had to prove to me that he can still run with the big boys. Well he may not have had the best car last week. He got up and led and finished top 5. He had top 7 speed in practice for 15, 20 and 30 laps. In his last four races here he has finished 9th, 3rd, 11th and 1st.

Kurt Busch (DK $10,700 FD $11,500)

Kurt will be a staple in cash games this week. He is the driver who I talked about in the opening. He starts 27th and offers us place differential at a dominators price. Kurt won here last August and will be one of the higher owned drivers this week.
