Dave’s Drivers to Watch – Nascar DFS – Go Bowling at The Glen

Tech was fairly clean today, Blaney had an unapproved adjustment and will start from the back and be scored from the 19th position.

Nascar heads to the road course at Watkins Glen this week and we have yet another Sunday morning tech race. Just like last week, I am writing the article as if nobody fails tech and will update tomorrow morning as tech is going on.  We should have an official lineup by 11:30 a.m. e.s.t. and updates will be here in this article as information pours in and I will list the guys who fail at the top. This race has only 90 laps so at this moment I am only looking at 1 dominator for cash games but that could change depending on how many cars fail tech. Track position is very important here and pit strategy will definitely come into play especially for good drivers starting farther back in the field.

Kyle Busch (DK $11,600 FD $15,000)

The debate this week will be between playing Kyle Busch or his teammate Martin Truex Jr. For me I lean towards Kyle this week. Well Martin has finishes of 1st and 2nd in the last two times here, Kyle has been just as good in his career here at Watkins Glen. He has multiple wins here and hasn’t finished worse then 7th in his last four races here. He led the charts in consecutive laps speed in final practice and after todays Xfinity race where he was dominating til he road the schicane a little to hard and broke the suspension, has something to prove that he can be just as dominate on Sunday.

Chase Elliott (DK $10,300 FD $11,500)

Chase is another high tier option for cash games. If you are looking to lock in some dominator points and a team that knows how to play the road course strategy, Chase is the guy. He starts from the pole and was fast in final practice. He won this race last year and used the road course strategy to obtain dominator points last year too. Haven’t decided if I’m going to go Chase or Kyle in cash and tech may change my entire strategy but the one thing I wouldn’t do at this moment is play them in the same lineup in cash games.

Joey Logano (DK $9,100 FD $12,500)

Pre-tech, there are some interesting place differential options available for cash games tomorrow. Well some people might look at Kevin Harvick here because he has better recent track history, I like what Joey has to offer, especially on Draftkings. At $9100, he offers a $1800 discount from Harvick and Logano starts 6 spots farther back. If you take out last year where he was in an accident, Joey has finished 4 of the last 5 races 7th or better. Including 1 win when he started from the 16th postion. Joey also had top 12 consecutive 5 lap speed in final practice.

Ryan Blaney (DK $8,700 FD $10,300)

Ryan is another solid place differential play this weekend, at this moment. Blaney unofficially starts 19th and has finished 12th, 8th and 19th in his career here. Blaney showed speed in practice cracking the top 10 in 5 lap consecutive speed. Blaney also drove in the xfinity race on Saturday finishing 4th. This range on Draftkings is loaded with great plays including Logano, Blaney and Erik Jones.

Daniel Suarez (DK $8,100 FD $9,400)

Another great place differential option at this moment is Daniel Suarez. He starts 18th and has good place differential upside for cash games. In two career Cup races, Suarez has finished 3rd and 4th. Suarez showed that he has a faster car in practice then where he qualified. Right now Daniel is outside of the playoff cutline and could play for stage points which could hurt his upside but with his history I can see a top 10 out of Suarez this week.

Matt DiBenedetto (DK $6,500 FD $6,000)

Matt talked last week about how much he was looking forward to this weekend at Watkins Glen. In Sonoma, Matt started 19th and finished 4th. In practice, MDB had great speed with top 15 in 5 lap and top 3 in single lap speed. MDB is a good road course racer and starting 20th gives him some built in place differential at a great price.
