Jaime’s EPL Week 17 DraftKings GPP Punts and Pivots

Today we get a slate with no Manchester City! Six total games with the Tottenham game carrying most of the ownership in gpp and cash games. The slate really comes down to Harry Kane. Will you be with the 50% of the field that plays or the fade side. If you play Kane he needs at least a brace or a goal and an assist to reach value. The odds of the brace are pretty good but if he flops the fade side of the field will walk to the cash line. Here are my picks for the week.

Forward

Top: Harry Kane $10,900

Kane will be chalk in gpp and in cash games. He has really good odds to find the back of the net and the odds are not bad for a brace. Burnley likes to give up goals and Harry Kane loves nothing more than adding goals to his resume. At this point I am leaning towards playing him and differentiate my lineup elsewhere. If you do fade Kane you will need to play other pieces of Tottenham since they are such big favorites.

Mid: Salomon Rondon $6,700

Awesome matchup against the leaky Huddersfield defense. He might be my favorite gpp forward on the entire slate. Rondon has scored double figures in three straight games and I would be shocked if he did not make it four this week Love his chances to find the back of the net here. I also really like Alek Mitrovic $7,800 who faces a West Ham team that has only kept a clean sheet in one of the last 9 games.

Value: Demarai Gray $4,600

I do not think I will be playing anyone down here but you could do a lot worse than Gray. He does not need to do much to reach value and he should be pretty active going up against a Palace team that has not been very good.

Midfielders

Top: James Maddison $8,600

With everyone paying up for Kane and Possibly Erikson if he gets the start nobody will be looking Maddison’s way. Love the matchup against Crystal Palace and he should have a great game here. He has such a safe floor and the upside is massive as Palace has given up 6 goals in the last two games.

Mid: Roberto Pereyra $6,600

Watford is a favorite against Cardiff who before last game had given up 14 goals in their last 7 matches. Pereyra should be sub 10 percent owned and could move you up the leaderboard if he gets involved in a goal or an assist.

Value: Ki Sung-Yueng $4,300

Really like the matchup for Newcastle against Huddersfield and Ki is just $4,300 coming off a game where he took 9 crosses and 3 shots. He has scored 5 or more in each of his last three games so he makes for the best value play on the slate.

Defense

Top: Jose Holebas $6,500

My favorite expensive defender on the slate and its not close. Holebas should dominate and rack up points against Cardiff and with everyone paying up for Tottenham he could be 15 percent owned or lower. As of right now he is in my main lineup.

Mid: Ben Davies $5,900

Biggest favorites on the slate and playing fullback he should rack up points. Last game out with no Trippier he had 15 points without a goal or an assist. He has 20 plus point upside if he does connect on a goal.

Value: Javier Manquillo $3,500

Cheapest fullback on the slate for a team that is favored to win and has good odds at a clean sheet.

Goalkeeper

Kasper Schmeichel $4,600

Leicester City is priced as if they are the underdogs in this game. I really do not see it that way. I expect Leicester to win this game and they have the upside of a clean sheet as well. Palace is playing without Zaha as well which should make things easier for Schmeichel to get that clean and win bonus.

As always if you have any questions feel free to send me a message on discord or on twitter. I can’t wait to see all the screenshots after we dominate this week! Enjoy the slate and make sure to tune in to our slack when lineups come out since we usually drop a play or two in there as well.
