Jaime’s EPL Week 29 DraftKings GPP Punts and Pivots

After one of the most random slates of the season it is nice to only have to wait a few days to get right back into EPL. Manchester City is the biggest favorite on the slate traveling to Bournemouth. After that you have Manchester United hosting Southampton and Wolves hosting Cardiff. Besides those games I have some interest in Brighton facing Huddersfield. The rest of the games should be pretty evenly matched. Here are my favorite plays of the week.

Forward

Top: Marcus Rashford $10,000

Sergio Aguero $10,800 will be the most owned player on the slate. While I really like the Aguero play I like pivoting to Rashford in tournaments. He has a great matchup against Southampton at home and I would be surprised if he did not find the back of the net and had himself a day here.

Mid: Raul Jimenez $8,900

Although the price is a little high I love the spot here for Jimenez against Cardiff. He had a big time dud against Huddersfield last time out so that will lower his ownership but the matchup at home against Cardiff has bounce back written all over it. I expect a big game from Jimenez here.

Value: Glenn Murray $6,100

Murray has not scored a goal since January 19th against Fulham but if you have read my articles in the past you know I absolutely love targeting the Huddersfield defense. Jimenez let us down last week but I expect Murray to expose the Huddersfield defense and get a goal or maybe more.

Midfielders

Top: Raheem Sterling $9,000

I do not think fading Manchester City completely is a good idea which leads me to Sterling. This could easily be Sane $9,200 and honestly I would like that play even more but as of now Sterling is projected to start and not Sane. Bournemouth gave up 5 goals to the Arsenal attack so I expect City to get goals here and these guys will be involved.

.

Mid: Andros Townsend $8,000

Townsend just had a 12 point game against Manchester United and was not involved in a goal. He had 4 shots and 6 crosses and he should have no problem replicating that performance against Burnley. The price is a bit high but the spot is good for Townsend. Joao Moutinho $6,800 also makes for a great play against Cardiff and he has not scored less than 6 points since early January.

Value: Miguel Almiron $5,200

While his last performance was not very good for fantasy he still looks very explosive and looks due to have a breakout game soon. It is only a matter of time until he scores his first goal and after he gets going his price will never be this low again.

Defense

Top: Ashley Young $5,800

Young is by far the safest defender on the slate. He has a share of set pieces which gives him a really nice floor and always has the crossing ability to put up big numbers. Last time he faced this Southampton team he had 11 crosses and it should be more of the same today.

Mid: Shane Duffy $4,200

The fact that Shane Duffy is in my article should let you know how I feel about defenders this week. Duffy has been shooting a lot in the past three games taking 3 shots in each if those games including a goal against Burnley.

Value: Chris Smalling $3,400

I played Smalling in every single one of my lineups last slate and he ended up with a cool -0.5 points. Nobody will play him and he always has the ability to get involved in a goal from a set piece. The matchup against Southampton is a good one.

Goalkeeper

Martin Dubravka $4,300

Dubravka has not given up a goal in three weeks and has not finished with a negative number since December 1st against yea you guessed it West Ham. However, since then he has put up solid numbers and for 4,300 we do not need more than a few saves to pay off this price. If he gets another clean and a win he could easily put up 12 to 14 points.

As always if you have any questions feel free to send me a message on discord or on twitter. I can’t wait to see all the screenshots after we dominate this week! Enjoy the slate and make sure to tune in to our slack when lineups come out since we usually drop a play or two in there as well.
