Total Base Race – Los Angeles Angels/Toronto Blue Jays

The Los Angeles Angels get a plus matchup against Aaron Sanchez tonight. He has struggled through 15 starts, posting a 3-8 record with a 5.04 ERA and a 1.60 WHIP. He has recorded a 5.18 xFIP and a 5.32 SIERA in those games, as well. Sanchez has held his opponents to a 30.1% fly ball rate in 2019, while giving up a 14.7% HR/FB rate. He has also allowed his opponents to record a 35.4% hard hit rate against him to go along with a 19% soft hit rate. Sanchez has been worse against right-handed batters this season, allowing them to hit for a .282 average with a .427 slugging percentage and a .360 wOBA. He has also given up a .255/.408/.326 line to left-handed batters in 2019. Surprisingly, he has been at his best at home, but I give a boost to Los Angeles, as Toronto features a hitter friendly stadium. Tommy La Stella has cooled down a bit recently, as he’s only hitting .195 with a .390 slugging percentage and a .623 OPS over his last 10 games. He has posted four extra-base hits (two home runs) in those games, as well. His peripherals are a bit better, though, as he owns 41% hard hit and 32% fly ball rates with a 93 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. La Stella has been at his best against right-handed pitching, as well, posting 0.063 wOBA and 0.059 ISO differentials against righties. Mike Trout is another player that has been at his best against righties, as he enters this game with 0.075 wOBA and 0.124 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching. He has been playing at a high level recently, bringing a .294 average with a .765 slugging percentage and a 1.219 OPS over his last 10 games into this contest. He has posted seven extra-base hits (four home runs) in those games. As if that isn’t enough, Trout boasts 48% hard hit and 60% fly ball rates with a 96 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. Shohei Ohtani has posted a 60% hard hit rate with a 96 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. His fly ball rate is down, but that hasn’t stopped his success. Over his last 10 games, he has recorded a .368 average with a .816 slugging percentage and a 1.230 OPS. In those games, he has posted eight extra-base hits (four home runs). Ohtani has dominated right-handed pitching, as well, as he enters this game with 0.041 wOBA and 0.129 ISO differentials against righties. The Angels should feature one of the best offenses on this slate, and they are a bit cheaper than some of the other options.

Play $50 on Tommy La Stella, Mike Trout, and Shohei Ohtani OVER 7.5 total bases to win $100 (2x)
