Total Base Race – Arizona Diamondbacks/New York Yankees

The New York Yankees get an elite matchup against Taylor Clarke tonight. He has struggled with a 5.64 xFIP and a 5.27 SIERA through 12 games (11 starts). He has given up 40.5% fly ball and 19.1% HR/FB rates this season. He has also allowed his opponents to post a 40.6% hard hit rate in 2019, while recording only a 10.6% soft hit rate. Clarke has been a reverse splits pitcher this season, allowing right-handed batters to hit for a .319 average with a .628 slugging percentage and a .394 wOBA. He has given up a .270/.559/.383 line to left-handed batters, as well. Furthermore, Clarke has allowed his opponents to post a .304/.591/.393 line against him on the road in 2019. DJ LeMahieu has been playing at an elite level recently, as he’s hitting .342 with a .632 slugging percentage and a 1.050 OPS over his last 10 games. Over that span, he owns five extra-base hits (three home runs). LeMahieu boasts a 40% hard hit rate with a 92 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days, as well. Edwin Encarnacion is another player that has been playing at an extremely high level, posting a .304 average with a .565 slugging percentage and a .912 OPS over his last 10 games. He also possesses eight extra-base hits (two home runs) in those games. Encarnacion brings 45% hard hit and 60% fly ball rates with a 92 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days into this game, as well. Didi Gregoirus is the final piece of this puzzle, although he is the third player that has been better against left-handed pitching. Over the last 15 days, he boasts 35% hard hit and 53% fly ball rates with a 90 MPH exit velocity. Still, he’s hitting .385 with a .718 slugging percentage and a 1.123 OPS over his last 10 games. He owns eight extra-base hits (two home runs) over that span. The entire Yankees team has been playing well recently, though, and there are multiple players that can be considered in this play. If LeMahieu, who is dealing with an injury, isn’t in the lineup, Aaron Judge is the top replacement player.

Play $50 on DJ LeMahieu, Edwin Encarnacion, and Didi Gregorius OVER 7.5 total bases to win $100 (2x)
