He boasts 41 extra-base hits (20 home runs) in those games. Story also enters this game with 36% hard hit and fly ball rates to go along with a 91 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. He brings 0.049 wOBA and 0.022 ISO differentials against left-handed pitching into this game, as well. Nolan Arenado is another player that has found plenty of success against lefties, as he owns a 0.033 wOBA against left-handed pitching. He has caught fire recently, posting a .421 average with a .737 slugging percentage and a 1.189 OPS over his last 10 games. He possesses six extra-base hits (three home runs) in those games. Arenado boasts 47% hard hit and 45% fly ball rates with a 95 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days, as well. Furthermore, he has recorded a .346/.619/1.016 line at home this season. Jeff Hoffman is expected to take the mound for Colorado. He currently owns a 5.19 xFIP and a 4.84 SIERA through nine starts. He has allowed right-handed batters to post a .337 average with a .733 slugging percentage and a .452 wOBA against him. He has also given up a .322/.678/.422 line at home in 2019. Kevin Newman surprisingly only owns 31% hard hit and fly ball rates to go along with a 90 MPH exit velocity over the last 15 days. With that being said, he’s hitting for a .465 average with a .767 slugging percentage and a 1.278 OPS over his last 10 games. He has recorded six extra-base hits (three home runs) in those games, as well. Newman is expected to lead off for the Pittsburgh Pirates, adding to his potential in this play today.
