Slate Thoughts:

    • Pitcher seems relatively straight-forward in cash games tonight. Zac Gallen is far and away the best option while Zach Plesac makes the perfect SP2 for a surprisingly low price tag. Reynaldo Lopez is expected to garner ownership tonight but I will never play him when he’s one of the highest owned players on the slate. Instead, I’d move to Tejay Antone is you’re looking to spend down at your SP2. This isn’t a great slate to drop below Plesac for your SP2, though.
    • Justus Sheffield is the pitcher that sticks out in GPPs. He gets an elite matchup against the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight and Sheffield is priced only $300 away from Plesac. Most ownership will go there, making Sheffield a high-upside tournament option. Kyle Hendricks and Rich Hill are two more decent tournament options because of the slate. Overall, there are two clear pitchers better than everyone – Gallen and Plesac – and I’d recommend using at least one of the duo in tournaments while possibly pairing with Sheffield if you want a lower-owned option.
    • This is a Coors slate without elite pitching. In other words, you’ll easily be able to stack the Los Angeles Angels and Colorado Rockies in cash games. That is the route most will go, and it would be wise to follow the pack. Adam Fraizer and Adalberto Mondesi are a pair of options outside of Coors that could feature some ownership in cash games, as well.
    • With the majority of the ownership going to Los Angeles and Colorado, there are a few elite tournament stacks tonight. The first is the Chicago White Sox. They are extremely expensive and generally go overlooked because of that. With that being said, they both elite upside on a nightly basis. The Los Angeles Dodgers are also in a sneaky spot. They get a tough matchup against Framber Valdez but he has struggled on the road this season. The Dodgers feature the upside to get to any pitcher and they’ll likely go overlooked because of how well Valdez has thrown in 2020. The Chicago Cubs and Kansas City Royals are another pair of stacks that come with tremendous upside and will go overlooked tonight.
